I'm half tempted to look up your business and give it 1 star due to your horrible take on middleswarth chipsYup. I think I mentioned this earlier but I got a 3* rating "They were closed the day we stopped by"internet reviewing is inherently flawed because it's very one dimensional. Someone might leave a bad review for a restaurant if something with the reservation is screwy even though the food in the restaurant is 10/10 and well-priced.
with amazon, I'll admit I get pissy when I buy something that's allegedly prime and it takes a week plus for me to get it. I don't know that much about logistics and whether or not the seller is at fault, the delivery company is at fault or if Amazon is at fault (I would bet it's usually some combo of the 3 though)
there's also this
We're only closed 1 day a week. But thank you for taking the time to give us a horrible rating.

Kindle Fire updates. None of them are concurrent, so if you haven't powered on your Kindle for a while, you're running individual updates until you're done - and those are just the major updates. Component updates? All individual, and there's no way to just say 'update all'. Click update, wait a few seconds, click update, wait a few seconds...

Kindles are trash. I torrent books or borrow them from the library and read on my phone.

These are used solely for watching movies during travel/vacation, which they excel at. Also, I think you're talking about Kindles, the ebook reader, while I'm talking about the Kindle Fire, which is the iPad competitor...

My Kindle Paperwhite might be my most understated and underappreciated device. It just always works. I have had mine since 2012 and use it every night.

Glad I decided to turn these on, because my wife's Fire HD 10 is not charging, so I'll have to upgrade on Monday during Prime Day. Good timing, I guess.

Hey man, if I enjoy the book you better believe I look for a hardcover copy for my bookshelves. I only recently started reading ebooks, since it's easier while getting the kid to sleep. That's fine. Us authors don't need to eat.I torrent books or borrow

Always love that logic. "I will consume the product before I determine in my good grace whether or not I want to pay for said consumption."

Downloading a blockbuster film or a huge TV show that can't be streamed elsewhere? Sure. I do that if I can't find it easily and legally elsewhere. A book? Come on man. Authors get **** over even on an actual sale much less having their stuff pirated.

If I don't like it, I'll just seed it for others.

It should also be noted that I've only torrented one series of books, and already started buying the physical copies. Asimov's Foundation series was great. My other ebooks came from Overdrive or Project Gutenberg.

In my experience, pirating tends to be far more annoying than getting it through some legal means. The rare times I do end up downloading something happen when it's harder/impossible to get it legally. Examples include: Great British Sewing Bee, The Golden Palace, streaming the occasional Pens game when I'm in Pittsburgh but not at home (although ATTSN's app finally starting including Pens streams this year).
I've always been a physical book guy. I've had a few kindles and an iPad, but I do not enjoy e-readers at all. Mostly it's feeling the weight of the book, knowing how many pages remain, and eye strain.

What I find even more annoying than torrenting is someone buying my books on Amazon, reading them, then returning them for a refund. I can understand buying the first book in a series, realizing it's not your bag, then asking for your money back. But when it's books 4 and 5, you're just freeloading. Plus you got my hopes up by seeing extra sales in my daily dashboard, only to a negative number the next day. Bastards.

Returning anything to Amazon is such a pain in the ass. I can't imagine purposefully buying something with the intention of returning it.

What in the hell are you talking about? I have returned dozens of items, and with one, maybe two exceptions, it has been completely painless.Returning anything to Amazon is such a pain in the ass. I can't imagine purposefully buying something with the intention of returning it.
