Flying out of State College is hell. Cancelations/delays on pretty much every flight, never knowing if you'll actually make it anywhere, limited flight destinations, etc. So that's gear grinding in and of itself, but I'm trying to organize a work trip to Denver this summer, and I sent some options to the guys that are going with me. Essentially, it's much cheaper and way less hassle to drive to a bigger airport and get direct flights.

I said "Pittsburgh, Dulles, Baltimore are all good options with direct flights."

I get two responses...

"I get car sick, so I'd rather we don't drive." Ummmm... k? How do you get anywhere?

The other one, rather than looking at prices and flight times wants Pittsburgh since "it's the shortest drive"... by 10 minutes.

Links to Adidas and purehockey.com as non-athletic apparel............. "this man knows style"

What the actual f**k.
Well...I asked "what do you wear to the grocery store" so I'm not going to judge it on a standard beyond that. I take umbrage with the idea that those selections are somehow 'better' than my pants. That's just silly.

Semi related - v happy with my lulu pants in almost 99% of situations outside lounging at home or errand running with joggers. Summer time, anyone have a good short they like to wear out, with a nice tee or polo?

I think I just rotate between the 3 pairs of American Eagle shorts I've been wearing since college.

I feel like the shorts game is not as up to speed as the men’s pants game at places like lulu, fabletics, etc. there are a lot of options out there but they all fit weird or are too short. I’m not opposed to above the knee shorts but some are rediculous

My shorts hit just above the knee. Also, no cargo pockets because it's not 1999 and I'm not 14. I think they're from Old Navy? I don't know/care. I did accidentally order a pair that hit at the mid thigh, which I had to return. I know it's the style, but I definitely couldn't pull that off.

To nobody's surprise, I have several pairs of golf shorts. They come to the knee, and have no cargo pockets. Very comfortable.

quite the flurry of activity based on my choice of leg coverings.

most important thing is you wear what you like. I wear mid-thigh shorts because I have big ass quads. I wear joggers because I like the ankle cuffs.

I wear JCrew for “nice” shorts. But I’m also of the mind that if you need “nice” shorts, you should be wearing slacks of some sort

Listen, if you have to go to funeral viewing hours in the summer, you're going to need those nice shorts. And a Polamalu jersey.

Eh, there's a window of "nice" between wearing athletic shorts and slacks during warm weather that khaki shorts fit into. Like, going to a brewery or out for a casual dinner at a nice, not fancy, place.

hate shorts with liner. I have my own undies, thank you very much

but also nothing wrong with short athletic shorts. I assume anyone who makes fun of those looks like this

what length in-seam meow? I, too, wear JCrew shorts; 7” in seam. They’re pretty good. Cheap and nice looking

O'Neill Reserve Heather Hybrid 21" shorts

I have these in probably 7 or 8 colors (and a few of their predecessors, which were available in patterns in addition to solids). They're now available in e-waist variant, but only in an 18" length which is too short for me. In terms of material, they're basically 4-way stretch board shorts.
