Post draft prospect re-rankings. Keith Law only did Top 50 league wide and has Henry Davis at 15 and Quinn Priester at 48. On the other hand, Fangraphs went with a full recalibration.
Overall farm system comes in at 3rd behind Tampa and Baltimore. Franco still hasn't graduated from the Rays, Rutschman got bumped to a 70 FV for Baltimore, and Hayes graduated for the Pirates, so maintaining 3rd is a pretty good spot. Top 10 with league ranking in parenthesis: Davis (35). Priester (37), Contreras (59), Peguero (77), Yajure (81), Cruz (82), Thomas (102), Gonzales (111), Swaggerty (118), Chandler (NR).
All hit with the "Average Everyday Player" FV of 50 until Chandler at 45. Lots of potential for quality players. Hopefully one breaks more toward the "Star" side of the equation. Solometo slots in at 16 in the org rankings while Lonnie would sit at 20.

I am guessing that some outlets are seeing him as a reliever (fangraphs), but his numbers this year are insane.

Some of those are legacy rankings (imo). Peguero's peripherals are not inspiring in A+ this year, Swaggerty is going to have to make it through some pretty intense rehabbing, Thomas looks terrible and Cruz is looking injury prone. I think Gonzalez is struggling now due to injury, so at least out of the top minors guys that aren't performing, I am least concerned about long term.Post draft prospect re-rankings. That said, even it's just a 40-50% hit rate from the top 10 that's fine. Priester looks on track to contribute by 2023, I think we'll get an idea on Davis next year, and Yajure will probably be a rotation guy next year.
Everything Bradenton and below is too early to tell, plenty of guys that will progress through the system, but there are no ~breakouts in the lower levels, but also no flameouts, the guys getting demoted are showing up when getting at bats at their new level. I guess, i would just note that i am not able to glean anything from the perusing the lower level box scores and stat lines. Just a bunch of recognizable names producing ok mediocre lines.
I think AA Altoona lineup is the only intriguing part of the system right now. Casto, Martin and Mitchell are all fly-ball machines this year, but with low LD rates. So they're blasting dingers and putting up good lines, but the numbers could be inflated a bit by HRs. Or, these are guys that are under radar, established reps within the scouting rounds, so never going to be top prospects, but could still make the majors and produce regardless. Walker and Reynolds are decent examples of this in recent Pirate history. It's easy for prospect outlets to just roll-over lists year to year and ignore guys, but then said guy performs in the majors. And at that point, it doesn't matter that they weren't perennial top prospects.

I'm in the 5h and Polanco just bashed a home run. Greg Brown says he's a changed player since returning from injury. Bob Walk then gives his eulogy.

I watched a few innings last night of the Giants feed. Enjoyed their crew. For a first place team, they were very balanced and not the least bit theatrical like Brownie and crew. I’m going to do that more often tbhI'm in the 5h and Polanco just bashed a home run. Greg Brown says he's a changed player since returning from injury. Bob Walk then gives his eulogy.

Suwinski appears to have solid power numbers in AA at age 22. Includes a .949 OPS in 250ish PAs.
Miliano is 21 and playing A-ball. Looks like he strikes out a million guys but walks a half million.
Marcano, also 21, has actually seen 50 PAs in San Diego this year, and hit really well in AAA. 200PAs 27BB 25K. Nice.

It sounds like a better than average return for the Pirates but we'll see.

I saw another tweet stating the Padres would use Frazier in a super utility role, including all three outfield positions. Must be nice to have the MLB hits leader as a utility player. The Padres infield seems kinda full though so this one surprised me a bit
