They've upped their social media game.
And this anthem thing...is this new? The Reds broadcast seems used to this "contest." Have the Buccos been doing this for a while as well?

Lost his control in the 6th, 2 straight walks. Is likely going to get pulled.

Tremendous start for Brubaker yet again.
He may get me to go to a game this year.

Roansy has faced 40 batters this year and stuck out 22 of them, he's also the youngest pitcher on the team.
Canaan Smith, the last piece of that Taillon trade was a prep hitter drafted in 2017 is also off to a crazy start in Altoona, for context, same age / draft as Calvin Mitchell, who is also in Altoona this year. Mitchell is holding his own with a .800 OPS, Canaan's is 1.260 thus far.
I think there's definitely a wave starting to form for 2022/23, the biggest 2021 promotion could be Swaggerty, but next year could be Roansy, Cruz, Nick Gonzalez and Pegeuro.

John Perotto noticed that Pirates beat writers Twitter had more Tweets about minor league Pirates doing things than the MLB club.

I don’t know if Capps is really good or usually hearing McKenry makes him seem that much better, but what a nice change from what I usually hear on the radio. I had no problem with what McKenry provided in studio, but he doesn’t seem to have the mental acuity to opine off the cuff for a living.

Plus a terrible radio voice. He's better than Wehner at least.I don’t know if Capps is really good or usually hearing McKenry makes him seem that much better, but what a nice change from what I usually hear on the radio. After listening some more, I lean toward Capps being good. Better than Wehner ever was for sure, but even more toward being really good with some room for improvement. Good radio voice, knowledgeable, insightful, conversational, making a Block broadcast not boring. I give it two thumbs up.
