Jordan Davis has become one of my favorite players to watch in a long time in college.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... mised-land
GROWING UP, Jordan Davis was obsessed with mythology. He devoured books about ancient Greece and studied the Egyptians. He still downloads TED Talks on everything from ancient civilizations to modern religion. His favorite stories were the Percy Jackson novels, about a boy who discovers he's part god then goes on mystical quests, saving cursed lands and defeating ferocious beasts, ultimately restoring honor to a community that had long been condemned to a life as outcasts.
That Davis has arrived at this moment is still a surprise, even to him. In high school, he hid in bathroom stalls to avoid weightlifting, and at Georgia, he considered abandoning football amid early struggles.

"I can see how football was forced upon him," former teammate Michael Barnett said, "but it was like, 'Bro, you're big as hell. Come on.'"

Even if he comes off as a reluctant hero, this might have always been his destiny.

Iowa might have the worst offense of any top 10 team ever. 4 minutes left in the half, their terrible QB has 13 yards passing and their leading rusher has 3 yards.

So wanted to click over to see the possible WFT 1st round draft pick(ett) come back against the U and seriously not only is ACCN not on Comcast, it’s not on ESPN+? Nice job making it tough for people to watch your product.

His over-the-top approach works with the NCAA Tournament, but it comes across as obnoxious in other sports, IMO.

So ESPN+ doesn't get everything ESPN? I'm getting a cable provider prompt for the Pitt game as well. Well, no, I don't have a cable provider because I assumed that ESPN+ broadcast everything ESPN does.

Would have been funnier had they also had someone with a Houston Astros flag to go in the trash can with Oscar.

There's something that's just so great about #Maction and I can't quite put my finger on it. As much fun as I'm sure crowds of 90,000+ are, games played at those smaller stadiums this time of year have some sort of charm to them.

ESPNU has been doing a Friday night Ivy League game each week and it's to have on in the background, if nothing else.

It sucks. It ruins football for their fans. You think Pitt attendance stinks? Try having it on a Wednesday 40 degree night in November. It's killing their programs

I’m in Cincinnati this week and if that was a Miami home game I’d head over.

MSU and OSU will sort themselves out. Georgia and Bama likely will too, but they have a better shot at both making it. Oregon wins out and they’re in. Cinci needs to convincingly win out.

I hadn’t even considered Oregon with their loss to Stanford. Guess winning at OSU is more impressive than losing to Stanford is unimpressive?

Schools like Cincinnati need to start breaking down the Big XII’s door. They just don’t have the schedule to get there even undefeated.

Surprised undefeated Oklahoma is nowhere to be found. Guess that means their schedule is even worse than Cincinnati’s, so maybe it’s actually a Power 4 now? Although if they can beat Okie St and Baylor, probably one of them twice, I bet they move up.
