I'm looking to up my charitable contributions in 2021, and I'm taking suggestions for charities. In addition to the libertarian and pro-gun causes I support, I'd like to add to my list of charities focused on relief for low-income folks. I already give to:

PA Innocence Project
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
Neighborhood Legal Services Association
Light of Life Rescue Mission
Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division
North Hills Community Outreach

I'm thinking of adding in:

Brother's Brother Foundation
Dollar Energy Fund
Little Sisters of the Poor of Pittsburgh
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh

Any other suggestions would be welcome. I think I'd prefer local charities over ones with a national scope.

My cousin is affiliated with 412 food rescue. They do some cool things. I'll let you do your own research.

I was going to say, hunger relief groups have been inundated this year.

I'm a big fan of the PA Parks and Forest Foundation.

Also a big fan of the Hebrew Free Loan fund (it is non denominational and offers small interest free loans).

Children's Hospital is always a good one. Also Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA and Mercy Behavioral Health, but those are personal as I know people that have used those foundations.

Hunger/relief groups are a good one as I've seen their direct impact in the number of new food pantries opened. This is such a huge need during this crisis.
