That's my thinking. The more people getting the booster, the better for all of us.We have plenty of vaccines available, so nobody should be upset over somebody getting boosters now.

No, not at all but it's not recommended for healthy people outside of NTP who must under siege from covid in his home office. Are you against boosters? All the sudden everyone is proudly proclaiming they are fat or have a high risk job.
COVID-19 Vaccine booster shots are available for the following Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago and are:
65 years and older
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings

I guess if they find out waning immunity is happening with healthy adults they will then recommend it.I waited until I was eligible for my first two. I'll wait til I'm eligible for the booster too. Everybody else do you.

I don't know elsewhere but my progressive home state of AR has booster shots available for ANY educators regardless of age.No, not at all but it's not recommended for healthy people outside of NTP who must under siege from covid in his home office. Are you against boosters? All the sudden everyone is proudly proclaiming they are fat or have a high risk job.

(this is what pisses me off about mask mandates in schools. Holding the quality of school district constant:
The very limited individual health costs of COVID contracted by teacher despite vaccination and booster opportunity + infinitesimal COVID costs for children <<<<<< costs of inferior education for children across the board
And this is something I have superior knowledge about - both as a (hall-of-famer) teacher of adults and as a father of small children. )

I don't really have one, other than what is the line we need to cross to be back to normal.I'm not cool with simply rolling the dice with them. What are the arguments against masking the kids?
I don't know what it is, I was just trying to expound on what I think Tomas was getting at.

I'm assuming when my kid gets vaccinated, others will be as well.

That’s been the goal since day one, has it not? Get everyone vaccinated. We’re still waiting for kids to become eligible. Despite the incredibly low risk for severe illness, it’s certainly not zero, and there have been enough kids at CHOP and Other pediatric facilities that I’m aware of that it boldens my stance of stick with what has been working. As far as actually wearing a mask goes, none of the kids seem to give a flying ****. It’s the parents - surprise, surprise - that are the issue.
If all goes well, I imagine that the new year is when school districts will meet and figure out the plan for moving forward with changes to their policies. They certainly can’t do it before kids have been given the chance to get their shots.

I can’t believe how hard of a concept this has been. Elementary kids, in large, don’t care if they have masks on. They obviously have a preference but this has gone beyond NBD territory for the large majority. If any of you are married to a teacher or have small children, you’ve certainly noticed this.Children being eligible for vaccination is that line, IMO.
So…if it’s no big deal to wear a mask then have them wear masks for 2 more months because there’s no reason not to. We’re supposed to all get out of a swimming pool when there’s lightning - even though I’ve never heard of anyone’s pool I know of ever getting hit by lightning. But we get out anyways because it’s….no big deal.
“Oh when oh when is enough enough!!!”
In like 6-8 weeks probably, dinguses. Just stay the course until then.

Basically. Here's the list of medical conditions that'll get you approved for a booster: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... XdExML6nTE
Mental-health disorders lead to more severe Covid? Fascinating. Did not know that.
