How nice of them. They’ll be back to shitting on it all in no time.I've heard some prominent right-wing political figures asking people to get vaccinated: Hannity, Ben Shapiro (soft of lol), Moscow Mitch. That's a good sign.

The unvaccinated population in the USA has minimal impact on variantsYes. And the more people vaccinated, the less variants
is KC going full grunts? defending unvaccinated people is asinineIt goes well beyond the unvaccinated. I know several double vaccinated individuals who are pretty sick currently.

Yeah, I don't think that's what KC is doing.
I was ranting to my wife last night about this very topic. The unvaxxed don't necessarily cause variants, but there's no question they are behind the surge right now.
I'm on board with continuing to open up and letting the unvaxxed fall where they may, but i doubt the government is.

When President Biden visited Philadelphia a week or so ago, shouting Jim Crow from the rooftops, he should have castigated the Philly locals for not getting vaccinated. Philadelphia county, Biden's lefty base, is coming in at 10% vaccinated, dead last in PA."An Overwhelming Majority of the Vaccine Hesitant are Trump Voters or did not Vote"

Philly does not report their numbers the same way every other city in PA does, so that dashboard isn't accurate. There's also a note about it at the bottom.Source of the post Philadelphia county, Biden's lefty base, is coming in at 10% vaccinated, dead last in PA.

Here's their dashboard: https://www.phila.gov/programs/coronavi ... a/vaccine/
Over 50% fully vaccinated, which actually makes them first.

The article shyster posted showed that the virus is less likely to mutate in vaccinated people. What I'm saying is that we can get damn near everyone in this country vaccinated and there are still going to be mutant variants that make it over here and potentially "break through", considering global vaccination rates will never be meaningful.Yeah, I don't think that's what KC is doing.

I know right now we are being told hospitalizations heavily favor the unvaccinated population, but who says that's the case with the next variant that comes out of some third world country?

So your point is that there's nothing we can do until the whole world is vaccinated so the best way to protect ourselves is to push out as many vaccines world wide and get this whole thing over with before the mega variant makes our current vaccines useless? I agree.Source of the post I know right now we are being told hospitalizations heavily favor the unvaccinated population, but who says that's the case with the next variant that comes out of some third world country?

Nah. It's just annoying to come here every day and see 13 people whining about the unvaxxed when there are a lot of other factors at play.So your point is that there's nothing we can do until the whole world is vaccinated so the best way to protect ourselves is to push out as many vaccines world wide and get this whole thing over with before the mega variant makes our current vaccines useless? I'm firmly in the camp that they can make their own choice and deal with their own consequences. I'm vaccinated and already had covid so I shouldn't have as much to worry about.
If I start losing privileges again because of it, I'll change my tune.

What are the other factors at play with the current uptick in hospitalizations and potentially in a few weeks an uptick in deaths?

I am with you. I'm gucci. This started because I said they better not ruin my fun. They can sabotage themselves all they want, but if I have to go back into quarantine/mask life because of these dinguses then I will be upsetI'm firmly in the camp that they can make their own choice and deal with their own consequences. From a selfish standpoint.. I'm vaccinated, my wife is vaccinated.. my immediate family is all vaccinated so I don't feel I have much to worry about.
I'm sure if I had young kids I'd be a bit more concerned since they would be not vaccinated at this point. I'm just going on about my life at this point, but like others if these unvaccinated mouth breathers make everyone go back to masking up come the fall...I'll be pissed off.

There is no evidence of anything to worry about with kids. At the risk of sounding like Ricardo, there have always been similarly lethal (or worse) viruses that kids can get any time.I'll be of that same opinion... when children can get vaccinated. Until then, **** these cretins right in the ass.
