So, I started looking at parking garages, and some of this doesn't make sense. There's a garage nearby that says I can park for 4 days for $59.I highly recommend street parking. It can be tough to find, especially in that part of town, but worth it to save the $$.Damn, parking is insane at every hotel. $50/night and up.

I don't know how much a burden it would be for you, but you could consider parking at a Metro park-and-ride. You won't have ready access to your car, and it will be out in the open, but all-day rates are only a couple bucks. Not sure if that's a viable/safe option, however.

I almost never drove and parked down by the mall. I took the Metro from the MD suburbs. Now we stay at my brother's place in Columbia Heights and either walk or metro down. Can't help with parking.

It looks like that site and a few others are legit. $59 for the 4 days would be perfect, and it’s garage parking.

Yup. Nice area. Not far from New Hope/Lambertville which is fun.Princeton's not bad. Definitely not the trashy area that a lot of NJ is.

Princeton Record Exchange is reason enough to go there. One of the best record stores in the country.Princeton's not bad. Definitely not the trashy area that a lot of NJ is.
Our HQ used to be there. They moved HQ to Houston but we still have a huge office there. Just no reason for me to go anymore.

The idea of Vegas is always way more fun than the reality of Vegas.
On the other hand, Disneyland Resort surpassed my expectations.

We have found that the optimal way to experience Vegas is a couple days on the strip then a couple days at either the Grand Canyon, Zion, or Bryce Canyon. I hate crowds- my first real attack of Agoraphobia was at Bellagio. I also haven't figured out the secret to getting a decent seat at a sports book for college or NFL football. Gamble a few hours, see a couple shows, check out Bellagio fountains, and I'm good. Early November's when we usually go- before the holiday rush and after the crowds have thinned out in the National Parks for the season. There was hardly anyone when we went to Zion in 2019.
That said I'm a bigger Vegas fan than I ever thought I would be before the first time I went.
Mrs. F is a very dedicated believer in win big early then quit. I am too but I don't seem to manage the win part like she does.

Finally back in Pittsburgh after a two week honeymoon that included San Fran, a drive down the PCH, LA, Universal Studios, Disneyland Resort, and finally Vegas. We’re **** beat but what a great trip.

Weather today was meh. Cloud cover and storms just formed right over the island and have stayed since about 2pm.

Last year was the first year since like 2004 that I didn't have at least one weekend in Vegas. But since we stay with family, I think the last time we actually stayed in a hotel was 2005 or 2006. We experience it as just a run-of-the-mill mid-sized city, that gets really bright at night. The idea of Vegas is always way more fun than the reality of Vegas.

@nocera Where did you guys stay in LA?
Travel Thread
We stayed in NoHo at The Garland. Weird choice considering when I lived there I never went there unless I was going to Universal but it ended up being a good location for us. Fairly central to everything we wanted to do. And the hotel was really great.@nocera Where did you guys stay in LA?

Production company that produces the YouTube show Retro Replay just took out a billboard promoting their new TV show pilot, and I went there on Saturday and took a selfie in front of it to share with the producers on the RR community site.
The billboard is at the intersection of Vineland and Ventura. If I'd have known I woulda stopped by and given you grief about your Frog Lady take.
(Also, not sure if you knew this, or if you did and didn't care, but that hotel is like 500' from the Brady Bunch house.)

I stand by that take. And I had no idea the Brady Brunch house was so close. I also don’t really care about it but probably would’ve driven by it anyway. LA was the one city we stopped in that we felt like we could’ve used an extra day or two. We’ll be back at some point.
