Anyone ever visit Great Wolf Lodge? shafnutz05? We're looking at doing 2-3 days next month before school starts up, and am wondering if it's worth it.
The last time you asked this I gave you a solid answer  I will link it for convenience

But yeah...definitely a fun trip. I think two nights sounds about perfect.

We have completed everything we need to in order to travel to Jamaica except our Covid tests which are scheduled for tomorrow. I can't believe my wedding and vacation all ride on this test. The anxiety has been spectacular.

Oof. I asked that right before vacation, so it obviously slipped my mind.

I'm usually a "get to the airport so early you can see your plane take off for the previous flight" kind of person but our flight to Baltimore is at 6am on Sunday. I've also only been to PIT once before. Our connecting flight is international. Any idea when we should get to the airport? We're parking in the economy lot.

6AM on a Sunday? You'll most likely be OK for 5AM arrival- 4:30 is guaranteed safe

EDIT: Economy lot? You may be waiting for a bus for up to 15 minutes - take that into account as well

I picked someone up from PIT last week and saw where that lot was. Didn't seem like too long of a walk. There isn't shuttle service from there. Maybe a 10 minute walk and then take the moving walkway. I'll add 20 minutes just in case.

I was thinking 430-445. I'm definitely not sleeping Saturday night.

Now that I think of it, what is the economy lot? There's short term, long term, and extended parking. Unless they added something since April.

So my wife I think has decided to not go to her friend's wedding at the end of August in Canada. We looked at how much the trip was going to be if you include hotel/flights/rental car... and even after trying several different deals and combinations of **** flights with shady airlines....we didn't come up with anything less than $2500 for the two of us.

Is Calgary still on fire?

edit: Nope, the preponderance of fires in the region are further west.

Unless you have a ton of luggage or rain/snow/wicked hot and humid, there’s no parking at PIT you can’t hoof it from.

Yeah. My wife is upset and feels like a shitty friend...because she is in the wedding. I left it up to her as far as going and the price and stuff. She talked to her friend last night and she said she understood. I dunno. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Honestly, I think it’s totally understandable, given the circumstances.

Yeah I feel the same way, but I left it up to my wife to make the final call. I really tried to piece something together last night for under 2k even....and it's just not doable with a rental car, or having to fly some random airline that I'm not aware of etc. It's just not worth the aggravation.. then what if happens if they shut stuff down again etc.

It sounds like that next year we are going to go to Vegas with them or something and hang out after everything really settles down.

Send the couple $1000 and call it even and you conscience is clear and you save $1500.

Boom! Problem solved.

Doing some international work travel next week. The cost of tickets, rental car are all insane. Only thing that is way cheaper are hotels.

Overall, glad I'm not paying for any of this.

Yeah... I'm starting to get bugged about travel for work as well. Luckily, I'm at a point now where I can (for the most part) say no, send someone else. Like, do I want to go to New Jersey in November? No. Not at all, but I'm being forced into that one. Hopefully that's all before winter hits.

Princeton's not bad. Definitely not the trashy area that a lot of NJ is.
