See, I can't even tell a series from the movie. Disney is putting up the big bucks and making everything look good.

Very true. We all win with this, too.

That looks cool. The Ten Rings... isn't that who kidnapped Tony in Iron Man 1?

Let me preface this by saying that I've only watched one episode of Falcon/Winter Soldier. Marvel feels a little directionless right now. After 10 years of movies about stones, now that the infinity saga is complete, I have no idea where we're heading. It's feeling a little bit like superhero stories for the sake of superhero stories. Maybe the Falcon series answers this, but Marvel needs to establish a new path.

Seems to me that each of the new series is dealing with the blip

WandaVision had a little, but with one episode to go in F/WS, the direction is becoming a little clearer.

Yeah I loved WandaVision but it wasn't a story about moving forward, it was about dealing with the past.
Source of the post WandaVision had a little, but with one episode to go in F/WS, the direction is becoming a little clearer.
Oh nice. I've been holding out to binge them all at once.

Yep, sorry I misread your post. Definitely get a little feeling about moving forward with falcon, but in the grand scheme of things, it does feel like they are playing in the past. Loki looks to be similar.

More TV news.
“Secret Invasion” was announced as a development property last year, one of Marvel’s many planned titles for Disney Plus. Jackson is reprising his MCU role of Nick Fury, while Mendelsohn will play the Skrull Talos as he did in the feature film “Captain Marvel.” “

The series is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Ben-Adir has been set as the a main villain. Kyle Bradstreet is attached to write and executive produce. Kevin Feige’s unit is producing the series for the streamer, as it does all other MCU titles, including the hits “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

So that's why Fury was hanging out in space at the end of Far From Home?

So Sony also made a deal with Netflix. Netflix will get the new films 9 months after theater release, and then they will end up on Disney+ or Hulu. Very complex entertainment attorney shenanigans.

Does that mean Homecoming and Far From Home will be on Disney+ too? I just rewatched all of the MCU and it was a pain in the ass tracking those two films down.

Now they just need to add Incredible Hulk.

It’s very confusing, tbh. It looks like films released 2022-26 are in this deal, but it also includes other Sony/Marvel titles...which must mean Deadpool, Venom, and Spider-man. Fantastic Four’s two films are on D+ already. It’s really lawyerly

Fantastic Four would be Fox so those came over with that merger.

Wait for the MCU to reboot it. Or just watch The Incredibles

I ended up using digital credit on Amazon to buy those movies for this reason.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones & The Punisher Rumored to Return in the MCU, But with a Twist

While the likes of Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear and Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle will return with the respective actors reprising their roles, they will not be playing the same versions of the characters as seen on Netflix and will instead be playing rebooted versions newly introduced to the MCU.

According to sources (some more reliable than others), Marvel Studios are looking to bring back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Fellow Netflix characters Luke Cage and Iron Fist however will reportedly be recast.

Each character's return will reportedly be spread across Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU, sources have claimed, with Charlie Cox the first to make his triumphant return in the upcoming Marvel sequel, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Rumors persist that Cox will return as either Matt Murdock, Daredevil, or both in the Spider-Man follow-up, with reports even claiming that he filmed for a short while on the project.
There’s more in the article, but I would love to see those guys return to those characters, even if it’s a fresh start.

Awesome! but weird. The two being recast were the worst of the bunch AFAIC while the casting for the others characters was pretty much nailed.

So Falcon & Winter Soldier... that was fine. I think it probably would've worked better as a 2 hour movie, though. There were definitely a good number of high points but there were also stretches where boredom set in and I found myself looking at the time remaining in the episode.

I liked Luke Cage. Iron Fist is fine being recast.
