Does it take that long to stomp it down the drain?

Decided to redo our basement lights. It’s unfinished and only consists of two pull cord bulbs. Bought several flush mount lights and reworked everything so there’s a switch.

Finally got to where I could turn the breakers back on to see if I could cause an electrical fire. Almost. The lights were flickering and eventually they just went out. Thinking it’s a loose common wire somewhere causing it. But have a dinner party now so get to sit there and worry the whole time what I did wrong.

I'm thinking that I just need to take shorter showers. I know I'm the problem lol

I probably would but I don’t know how long I would have to have it to offset the installation cost.

Also have to remember that tankless needs to be power vented, so you’re either mounting it near an exterior wall (dumb to me), or running the pvc exhaust out.

That’s not an issue for me, but I could probably buy three electric tanks brand new for the price of a tankless system installed. I know that’s not factoring in the energy savings but natural gas is also not a fixed cost. It just didn’t seem worth it to me.

Yep, loose neutral. Kept imagining I’d be coming home to an electrical fire, so glad that’s out of the way

I want to say there are now condensing tankless that don't need to be vented, but I'm not sure how well those work in comparison to the regular ones.

I decided the last time I needed a water heater that it wasn't worth it to go tankless. I live alone, so running out of hot water is rarely if ever an issue, and the extra cost didn't justify it.

Lol, the issue is pressure spikes. Need to have a pressure reducing valve installed as well as a replacement expansion tank. $1300, not covered under warranty. Happy Sunday.

Just drylok’d are laundry room wall. Garage is next weekend hopefully . They had been done at some point in the past but not sure how long ago so doing it as a piece of mind thing.

I made the mistake of checking Home Depot to see how much those expansion tanks cost, and now I’m pissed that I didn’t just replace that part myself. Would have saved $400.

So my homeowners insurance jumped from $1237 to $1445 a year. No claims. Nothing changed on my policy. I think it's gone up around $400 in the last two years now. Bastards.

Snake and jetting, my recommendation is GHJ Excavation. A personal friend. He uses air snakes, can do sewer line jetting, etc. He has a Facebook page.

I would like to actually renovate our master bath, outside of the shower which we love, but I don't think my wife cares enough to do so. Our next project is sadly going to be something boring like epoxy injection in the vertical cracks in our basement.

I just ordered some cabinets from home depot to start working on some built-ins in our living room. I’m excited to get going on that. Once I get them in, I’ll have to figure out the bookshelves for the top

Just got our electric bill, which was for early Feb-early March. The only charge is PECO’s $10 interconnect fee. I’d need to do the math to get the exact number, but we produced more than 100% of our usage, and it will only get better from here.
