I think it was more of he just let her go, some of us sent PMs while it was happening that he didn't bother to read until yesterday when this board went live, and he did post that he told the mods to enforce the rules under dagny's rules sticky.

I personally think she went on a power trip, pissed everyone off, and he didn't pay that close attention/ignored concerns/supported his mods without realizing what was really going on. And now he's doing damage control over there.

I feel bad. He is a good guy. But when you are the owner and one of your management team messes up, you get some of the heat.

Yeah, like I said, the only thing that I'm really bummed about is that he may actually be losing money in all this. He has maintained LGP through thick and thin in his personal life, and I'll always be grateful for that. But the over-modding got out of control and it took the life out of the place.

i'd probably still be at LGP if you guys were all still there, facism be damned. it's a known commodity (for the most part), and i don't like change. with that said, i don't know how such a seemingly wise person like admin could have initiated or allowed what went on this month. i'm glad he got my 20 dollars or whatever it was, but oi - what a blunder.

i think the discussion has a place here. i'd say try to keep it in this thread, and don't harp on it for too long. but it deserves to be aired out somewhere

That is what I'm kind of hoping. I don't want to hurt the guys lively hood. But again, if he was making decent cash, then maybe he should have had a closer eye on the place. It's not like it happened over night. It was happening for a while, and it ramped up big time for 2 weeks. So if it meant that much, then he should have watched the site better.

That said, I feel bad more for the time and effort he put in to build that place. And like tifosi said, he kept it running through thick and thin.

Anyway, for me, it's time to move on. This new place has most of the posters I've grown to love over the last 9 years and this place is run by guys that have the same mindset and want to see this place thrive while still having fun.

I'm really liking this new thread. I have only posted at LGP for a month, but have been reading Pens Related for 5 years. I wish I could have gotten with you NHR guys sooner, but this is a great place for me to make my impression of stupid thoughts.

This, and I don't think it will last too long. I bet by the beginning of next week, it will barely be discussed anymore. I think if it's just in this thread, there is a whole community that is looking for answers/want to air frustration that they couldn't before.

But I think it will die down and be out of discussion once things settle.
