Awesome, thanks! Just a quick follow-up. Since Airpods Pro have have Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, should I be buying 5.0 adapter as well? (The above TP-Link is 4.0; Amazon has this thing as their best 5.0 seller:
)?

Thanks!!

PLenty of more recent reviews state that they do work with AirPods. If they don't, I doubt Amazon would give him a hard time returning them.

Are the AirPods proprietary to Apple devices though? Like my Apple Pencil won’t work with my Pixel 3, or Android tablet, etc.
They work fine with my Samsung Galaxy S9 and my office PC. I just need them to work with the dinosaur workstation at home, because I still use it as my main computer for Zoom recordings...

Got it. Good to know. Apple can be finicky with things like that.

Do your software developers (or, do you software developers) take support tickets as well...?

A. Yes
B. Yeah, but we have a desktop admin(s) too...so we're not setting up printers or swapping out monitors
C. Only if it's something that they built and it's a bug fix
D. Nah, almost never
E. Nope
F. Other

C as well mostly...but I also interact with the IT of other vendors for onboarding purposes for our API's so my role isn't only just dev work.

A video platform I use plays videos in Flash...Flash was EOL'd on 1/12 (just Chrome?). Now, whatever is in its place is real choppy, the screen darkens to buffer, then turns light to play, darkens to buffer, light to play...is there anything I can do to help this or is it all the platform...? Downloading the videos in question is not super doable in most cases...

Flash is dead as a platform, and I honestly wouldn't expect anything to work at this point. It'd being forcibly removed in updates to both the OS and all browsers.

Yargh...that's what I thought. Thanks. It's pretty dumb that this platform was so unprepared for this, I've been getting messages for over a year that it's being axed and I don't develop internet-based video tools...

Chinese railroad shuts down because of Flash (yes, that Flash)

How did they fix it? Would you believe me if I said with a pirated version of Flash?

I haven't read the documentation yet, but I have my eye on a Xerox WorkCentre 5955i. It has Windows 10 drivers so I *assume* that I can run it without a print server, like a regular stand alone printer.

Any significant reason not to do this?
I won this WorkCentre for $26.

So as long as it works, even if it needs a full set of toner and a wifi adapter, I am WAY ahead. Just have to drive out to Athens, OH and pick it up.

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=M ... cctid=7047
This thing is pissing me off. I sat down for a few hours with it and it is aggressively not printing envelopes. The tray assignment is good, the printer knows it has envelopes, the programs I tested it with (Notepad, Word, and a proprietary envelope printing program) all know they're sending envelopes, tried a few differnet drivers, and all kinds of different combinations of manual and automatic tray selection and 100% of the time it diverts the job to an 8.5x11 tray.

So I am going to have to buy another printer just to print envelopes. Fuuuuuuuccckkkkkkk yooooooouuuuuuuu IT Gods.

Looking for business internet in Pittsburgh. We need extremely reliable and fast connections as we will be broadcasting live video regularly. Any suggestions? Is Comcast the best way to go? Fios doesn't have a business line out where our building is. Any other companies that can rival Comcast speed?

@NTP66, how do I get the clipboard to work again in Citrix outside of logging off and back on again. I can copy from my PC to the Citrix connection but not back. I cleared the clipboard on both sides but that didn't fix the issue. Still not liking this Citrix...

Yes. Just got it pushed to my work machine this week and immediately thought of this place when I couldn't locate the search box.

Unless they've locked down clipboard redirection, your only recourse may be to exit Workspace App/Receiver and re-launch it. I've had issues in the past with this, and it's generally a client issue.

I was on a call with the CIO of Switch today. She gave an overview of one of their Colo data centers. They are incredible.

It sure is. That said, for some reason mine got moved back to its usual spot. No idea how, I think it was after an IT update.

I'm going to endeavor to teach myself SQL...just base level stuff...any recommendations on how to get going...? Do I really need the structure of a course or could I just download mySQL or whatever and sort of piece it together...?

SQL is incredibly complex, and I'd say that a course really would be in your best interest if you're truly looking to learn it. And as somebody who has had to deal with the repercussions of a bad SQL admin (**** queries and reports that grind systems down), everyone else will appreciate it.
