Probably mentioned this earlier but my wife makes stuffing w/sausage in muffin tins and it's fantastic.
I'd eat it.

Apples in stuffing? Blech. Onions and mushrooms on the other hand? Hell yes.

one of my favorite things about going to other people's thanksgiving dinner is to see the permutations of stuffing

sausage? Yes
olives? Yes
bacon? Yes
apples? Depends on the other ingredients
Bacon and Olives seem to make a lot of sense because of the salty/smoky flavors.

My dad makes oyster stuffing each year (and normal bread style "dressing" as well).

We made an acorn squash pie in lieu of a pumpkin pie this year. Finally found something to do with all the squash from our garden. I’m cautiously optimistic this will outrank a pumpkin pie.

You mean an awesome take? Cause that’s all I do.

And I wasn’t about some bum ass side. It’s about me not doing a dumb ass bird and smoking the shnizz out of a prime cut of red got dang meat. Which I am doing as we speak. You want a bird at my house? Better stop at chick-fil-a on the way

Today was the first thanksgiving that I made stuffing (it’s incredible, I was such a fool...) and no bird (I didn’t miss it, I was such a fool...).

I made my third turkey ever...just a twelve pounder. I separated the skin from the breast and rubbed herb butter all over the insides. That sht turned out delicious with a beautiful golden skin.

I could totally get on board with meow on smoked brisket for thanksgiving. That’s superior to turkey in every way.
