Yep our trash people are great. We also put out treats for delivery people during the holidays cause we get tons of packages.
What kind of treats
Usually just a candy bowl, bags of chips/popcorn. Sometimes drinks. Depends how cold it is.

After the 10th or so "Hey, does this look better here...or here...?" I said it's her hobby and she can make those choices.
As I'm sure you know, the choice is already made well before it was run by you. Your job is to provide validation.
This.

Yes it's a hobby. Yes, just agree within reason. I'm in the same boat.

If you are emailing someone a list of names for a project (let's say 30+), are you alphabetizing by first name or by last name? So many people where I work email me lists on names alphabetized by first name and it drives me nuts.

I'm alphabetizing by last name, but sending them with their first name first.

I hate Last, First format.

Alphabetize by last name unless it's a Kindergarten class project

Just make it random so it’s harder for everyone.

It should be last, first.

Actually… why does it need alphabetized at all?

Years ago, we had a senior leader request that whenever she was on an email chain the names go by 'rank of title'. Now I've done that with big projects, especially projects that are being escalated specifically to involve the senior leadership team, but she wanted it on all correspondences. She also requested that she never be cc'd, because 'that's disrespectful'. She didn't last very long.

Did she print emails before reading them?

I always imagined that she had a Morgan Freeman impersonator read them out loud to her.

She thought being named on the CC line was disrespectful? That is fabulously petty.

I had a boss who didn't do that but probably only because he apparently never thought of it.

Say you are renting a vacation house with a group of people.. I have always been under the impression that its first come first serve when picking a bedroom.. My wife keeps telling me its awkward to pick the best room, but I say eff em if you aint first your last. How does everyone else do it?

We do it first come first serve, but acknowledging that my Mom did all the planning and coordinating so she gets the top level room facing the water.

We bring a dog so we want the bottom floor facing the parking lot. Nobody fought us for it.

At my sister’s wedding in the outer banks, she assigned rooms. She and her husband organized it, so they get the really good one. My parents got the next and then it was based on how long you were staying. Since we were the only couple staying the whole trip, we got the next pick. Pissed my older sister off, but oh well. We got the beach view.

I'd say first come first serve unless there's an older person/couple to give preference to or someone that did all the planning or something like that

Yup. First come/first serve, unless there's a specific consideration or two out there...

If everybody is putting in the same amount of money, first come first serve seems fair. We always volunteer to have the "worst" room when we do a beach house. My MIL cares about having a view. We're only in there to sleep, so what the hell does it matter?

I think some logic can be applied here. Couples with kids get a room with a joining bathroom or maybe rooms with a day bed. Pet owners get a ground floor. Old folks get a bedroom near living room/kitchen. Early risers get ocean view
