As a Schwab customer SWPPX is a bit of a no-brainer if I want an S&P 500 Index Fund.
Yesterday the S&P 500 had it's worse day since March. You're welcome.

If I had any investing acumen I would've waited until the end of the quarter to buy in. The thought never crossed my mind even though I know September is slow, just forgot about the dip. Being down 3% already is cool, anyway. Time to start dollar cost averaging.

I'm still positive on the year, but the last few weeks have not been fun.

Market absolutely sucking ass right now. I throw 12% at my 401k with 6% match and can’t even come close to keeping up.

Still up 7% on the year but a few months ago was more like 12%.

I figure we're going to eventually go down even more. I'm wondering if I should pull a lot out now, pay off my wedding, and then rebuild my positions...it's pretty risky, but I'll do better than what my interest rate would cost over the next 12 months...

I have finally crossed the threshold of having two years of college tuition (for a local community college) in my daughter's 529 account. Probably a year and a half for something like Penn State, etc.

Dunno, seems like based on the metrics they are using, they won't be able to cut rates until there's a some sort of negative shock event

WSJ doing some basic math on this one
If we can only stretch those numbers far enough to justify about half of Tesla’s current valuation based on potential cash flows from car sales, the stock is either hugely overvalued or investors are factoring in cash flows from elsewhere. This is where much of the debate now lies, with bulls identifying potential new profit streams on one side and bears poking holes in them on the other
People just assuming Tesla will make money from some undefined source

My credit score on Experian is currently sitting at 843, so now I'm chasing that perfect 850 for no reason whatsoever.

I was notified that our 401k program was having a few funds shift in and out, one of them being the removal of the Dryden SP500 fund (0.03% ER) that I currently use. It's being replaced with a BlackRock SP500 fund with a 0% ER. I have never seen that before, but I'll take it.

The S&P 500 just logged its longest losing streak of the year as spiking bond yields sow panic on Wall Street

I've already planned to switch to a different investment vehicle once it breaks even again. So expect the S&P 500 to stay suppressed until at least next September when I actually need the money.

Been great for me. I've been shorting the market all month, with expiration dates between 10/27 - 11/15. I'm hoping we break through the support at SPY 411 and really fall off the table. If we break SPY 400 next week, it's probably a five figure pay day for me...
