Peloton's stock is nosediving.

No one has been able to tell me what's unique about the Peloton Tread that is different than any other treadmill. Don't let your kid stick their melon under a moving treadmill, period. Peloton explicitly warns to hide the key from your children, and keep children and pets away from it while it's in use. I'm a consumer protection attorney and even I can see the CPSC is overstepping here.

I don't own a Tread nor have I owned PTON.

I got out of PTON a couple weeks ago. Thank god. I mean I still would be profitable but 25% less so at this point

Dunno, but I still find it funny that people pay the absurd amount of money for their equipment.

Yeah. my wife's Echelon bike that was $497 (and still probably somewhat overpriced) does exactly the same thing. It's quite literally a status symbol and nothing more.

Oooof. This is why I'm glad I bit the bullet last year and converted my ancient VG account to the brokerage account. I'd have missed out on a lot of money had I not done so.

Merrill Lynch. Their site is terrible and their email notifications are non-existent. Literally sitting here watching my account to see if my brokerage account opens before 4PM. I talked to a coworker in the same boat and he mentioned he opened his brokerage Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon he was able to transact.

Like, I've had these for 5 years. Maybe a notification that my brokerage account was incomplete would've been nice?

My sister apparently ordered a Peloton tread, and they just canceled her order, so she's flying off the hinges on FB right now.

It literally doesn't.

You can pretend it does and save a lot of money, though.

GMs earnings gave them a 4% boost. I didn't look closely but from the blurb I read it wasn't significantly different than what F reported. This is stupid.

I was hung up on his semantics. "Literally" has meaning.
