I'm only under $75 on TSLA. Do I keep it, or cut my losses?

I did loosen my grip on it a little bit myself, full disclosure...I still think it can moon, and I read a study about CEOs that are poppin' on social media, their stocks tend to retain their over-valuation...or something like that...plus, ya know, EV! EV! EV!

My issue is that I bought in way too high, and I'm not sure that it can reach and sustain earlier levels above $750. But I have absolutely no proof of that.

So YOLOing all of my measly trading account in FUBO was never the real intent, but simply an attempt to double down the pain away. With the full position back in the green I decided to sell off half to free up funds to lose money in something else. I didn’t pay attention to the trade instructions and sold off at FIFO instead of low cost. So for accounting purposes I took a $10/share loss on today’s trade and currently sit at a 22% gain for my remaining shares. I don’t know if I should feel like a genius or an idiot.

Well hello there, pre-market...

I hit my DKNG profit sell order at 9:34am. Awesome. The cool thing about trading stocks with a large spread is it blew past my order and sold a few cents more per share than my Limit.

I held onto my TSLA thinking that it may turn green for me today. DKNG still has about $5 to go thanks to my terrific timing.

Yeah, you're trapped up there with DKNG. But I still think it's inevitable that it'll get back there and move through that price point and beyond.

Figured this could go here, too:
As somebody who has also taken advantage of massive games thanks to some moves in my Roth IRA, I would not want this changed. If anything, this should show people another avenue to save for retirement given the restrictions everywhere else (including Roths).

At least you're not a lump sum swing trader like me.
I was really freaked out by being marooned at $707 with TSLA. One of the very few losses I sold for this year (got out at $699 for a $300 loss).

TSLA is so close to me breaking even that I'm chancing doing just that. I'm placing a limit sell order so that if it hits, I'll be happy. Quicker to change it if I have to make a move with no notice.

I started reading that Roth article but I was too distracted by the sound of someone grinding an axe too loudly

Looking at June, after taxes (I set aside 25% of trades) I've taken home more in trading than I have in my real job. Part of that is because my real job takes out 401k, benefits, pension, etc. But it's been nice having a side hustle that is producing. Enjoying it now because I know it won't be this effortless in a bear market.

Wow, my ARKW holdings may go green if this keeps up. Never thought I'd see the day.
