I loved Vengeance. The scene where McClane gets shot out of the aqueduct and there is a shootout on the road was filmed on the Taconic Parkway north of the city...I've spotted the location several times on our way to the inlaws.

On another note, that whole aqueduct system fascinates me. Love seeing the semi hidden gates and entrances to the tunnels off the road.

All that said, the original is the gold standard of action movies.

albeit I watched Vengeance a lot more growing up

Hate to say that I had this exact thought yesterday while watching and considered posting in the Movie Thread but knew I s get dragged. Good on you MiMH.

Also unpopular opinion: I’ve watched the first die hard and have no interest in watching it again nor any sequels as I didn’t enjoy it.

I can barely eat mayonaisse. I like it just enough to spread without any gooping. I like the ingredients in it so I still think it's mostly mental and mouthfeel but it can ruin a meal
