I think Cheney doesn’t like the situation with corporate donors, and that’s why she’s doing this. She’s operated without principle for years. No reason to start caring about things now. Siding with Trump is an easy way to stay in office but a hard way for her to pump her wealth on the side. I think she’d rather go make easier money as a private citizen and will let the chips fall with whatever happens in the primary.

She, Kenzinger and the other handful don’t have the gravitas to influence the situation. They’re all just building up their brand for when they’re exiled. Or the stories are true that Trump polls more poorly than publicized and they think they can hold their seats.

That article was about former officials and lawmakers, not current sitting members. So basically it means nothing.

The hatred shown to the working poor by the lower middle class is fascinating. I've been reading countless outraged comments from people regarding Chipotle moving their starting pay to $15 an hour. These folks are downright livid that kids with no skills are going to be making close to the same wages as they make at their real jobs. They are 100% convinced that service industry jobs making $15 an hour is the downfall of America and that it will convince skilled and educated workers to abandon their careers since they can make "just as much flipping burgers." Oh, and now a burrito is going to cost $20.

Well it’s going nowhere. For people so upset about cancel culture, they go out of their way to cancel anyone who doesn’t spout the big lie, election interference, or some other racist stuff.
