Dems spent years cheering folks like John McCain, Lincoln Chafee, and Arlen Specter when those Repubs voted against their own party's agenda. So brave! So maverick! Looking out for America!

Dems now furious that some of their own senators are doing the same thing. Obstructionist! Traitor! C*nt!

Welp…Do better, then. That was a very consequential state and you opted out. Because a guy who acquitted Trump twice and is actively blocking every piece of critical legislation that you actually support won by a handful of votes.

They broke with their party to vote for things that Dem citizens wanted.
If a Dem refuses to vote for things that Dem citizens want then why would anybody expect praise?

This isn’t about being principled, it never has been despite window dressing. It’s simply about giving an atta boy to those who are supporting your cause.

Just think if Weenie voted for Trump and he won. The Big Steal wouldn't be a thing, 1/6 would have never happened, the mutants would be getting vaccinated to follow the dear leader, a border wall would be going up, inflation wouldn't be a thing, the round man wouldn't be firing missles over South Korea, and America would be great again.

60 votes were needed for it... Schumer voted no. From the article:

Democratic leaders have conceded they lack the votes now to alter the Senate’s filibuster rule to pass it on their own, but Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer changed his vote to “no” so he has the option of trying again.

I don't know what that means, but okay...

Schumer had to vote no so that he could bring this bill up again. One of the goofy rules.
