Speaking of MTG. There's some article floating around where she's realizing that all of this talk is disenfranchising republican voters after seeing a poll about how many people won't vote because it's rigged and she's been sending out tweets on how votes matter.

Trump saying "don't vote" could sink the GOP this coming election. At least I'm hoping so.Speaking of MTG. Are you saying daycares are not considered the economy? Or are you saying people choose to not work/make money to put back in because it's not worth it?This is where my head was at when thinking about this topic. A good chunk of money would go back into the economy if child care were more reasonable.Source of the post I welcome any stimulus or extra income because I use what we have to and pump the rest of it back into society
I think it has also been discussed that daycares are low margin.
Maybe rather than subsidize individual families they can use some of those funds to increase subsidy to families that use child care services?
I feel like this is traveling in circles in my brain

Mrs. F. is a Social Worker, which is an occupation where if you don't have a Masters' Degree, you're talking <$10 an hour working in a group home or day treatment. With a Masters' Degree, you can get $50k probably, more if you advance to management. She only had her Bachelor's so the cost of child care was actually more than she got paid. So, she stayed home till our youngest was 9 and our oldest could help run his brother and sister around, at which point she went back for her Masters'.We did the math when mrs meow was pregnant with our first. She was a substitute teacher at the time. You need a flexible schedule with that job. Day cares are not flexible. So the math of putting mini meow in day care 5 days a week and mrs meow getting 4 sub jobs a week netted us $8 a week. Needless to say, she didn’t work for the first nine months of his life until she got hired as a day care director.Absolutely. If you have to work and just about everything from that job goes into child care, I would be bitter as hell about the system, it's exhausting. This is where my head was at when thinking about this topic. A good chunk of money would go back into the economy if child care were more reasonable.Source of the post I welcome any stimulus or extra income because I use what we have to and pump the rest of it back into society
Really sucked that a person in an occupation that actually helps people couldn't afford child care to actually go out and do that job, and that to do that job you have to throw $40k+ in to get the advanced degree to then go make around that in a year.
We got through it, no doubt, but all my salary went towards living and now her whole salary goes to trying not to leave our kids with (quite as) massive college debt.

10,000,000 is 1/20,000 of 200,000,000,000, right? 50 is 1/20,000 of 1,000,000, right?Don’t worry, I think you’re right.a lot of nutsacks questioning my math in this thread

The guy could give out $10 million in scholarships and people will say it could have been $10.5 million...it's tough to shake the "rich" designation, the scarlet dollar sign, if you will, in today's climate...

It's unfortunate that covid can't remove these people from the earth faster. They have had way too much time to realize how **** up they are. I don't know if it's going to be possible to get statistics, but years down the road, I think we are going to have some insane numbers of how many of the truly stupid got erased from the planet.
