Yes: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/10/busi ... mware.html
The operator of a vital fuel pipeline stretching from Texas to New Jersey, shut down for days after a ransomware attack, said Monday that it hoped to restore most operations by the end of the week.

Federal investigators said the attackers aimed at poorly protected corporate data rather than directly taking control of the pipeline, which carries nearly one-half of the motor and aviation fuels consumed in the Northeast and much of the South.

The operator, Colonial Pipeline, stopped shipments apparently as a precaution to prevent the hackers from doing anything further, like turning off or damaging the system itself in the event they had stolen highly sensitive information from corporate computers.

Colonial said it was reviving service of segments of the pipeline “in a stepwise fashion” in consultation with the Energy Department. It said the goal of its plan was “substantially restoring operational service by the end of the week.” The company cautioned, however, that “this situation remains fluid and continues to evolve.”

The attack, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation said was carried out by an organized crime group called DarkSide, has highlighted the vulnerability of the American energy system.
This hacking group asks victims or searches potential websites for the language used/spoken. If it's Russian, they do not hack/hold hostage a website. They also stay away from former Soviet republics like the Ukraine, Georgia, etc. So more than likely, Putin et al are funding this group and has told them to stay away from Russian companies.

But I keep reading that this shouldn't affect fuel deliveries, as there are redundancies and enough refined fuel in storage to get through minor delays. So the media beats the "pipeline is shutdown!!!" headlines, and people rush out and overwhelm the gas stations and local delivery services so now stations are out (temporarily).

I will never pretend to understand how the fuel industry works. Prices are based on perception and even production is at the whim of the oil companies.

I was reading that part of the issue is that fuel storage is calculated for three days to cut down on costs related to storage/loss, etc...

The shortages on gas are related to a shortage of tanker drivers.

https://news.yahoo.com/tanker-driver-sh ... HY4WpcWfP9
Potential gasoline outages could create headaches for motorists planning to hit the road this summer.

While there isn't a lack of gas being produced, a growing shortage of tanker truck drivers may lead certain pumps to go dry.

"In some instances, gas stations may not having enough manpower to bring gasoline from the rack, where truckers fill up, to their stations," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, a travel and navigation app. "You may periodically see stations running a day or two behind with normal fuel deliveries in some heavily trafficked areas, but we're not talking about a long-term event."
