This is right up there with mom posts about how their 3 year old asked them why adults don't fear the consequences of their partisan actions in today's society.

That interaction between DCI Pompeo and a 'female analyst' 100% happened as reported. Truth.

Well, in this case it is not God, but okay.the "big words" thing is always funny. i was brought into this discussion for some reason. shame on me for replying.
but yes freddy - because god. that's why this topic tickles your brain.
Basic math says that a $20+ Trillion debt (which all parties are at fault for, especially Bush/Trump) with the skyrocketing entitlement pyramid flipping the wrong way is bad for the future of domestic political stability.
Now, since I basically am at the point where I can feed myself without the direct need of a grocery store I'm personally not worried about the particular future for my immediate kith and kin. However, it's about more than me.
You can't just bring in enough immigrants to offset the costs. I mean I know I went to West Virginia Public Schools, but even I can do that basic arithmetic.

our planet ends without a reversal of human population trends. i'm happy some people are doing their part voluntarily. there are economic concerns, but i think i'll bet on our ability to apply a new capitalism ponzi scheme model and punt the problem until a better solution reveals itself.
india, africa, south/latin america...it's a little bit moot if these places don't also wake up, but i'll take the tiny win of our country getting itself under control.

I mean, is it? I thought we were all in general agreement that that shooting was much more complicated than other ones: drunk guy stole a cop's taser, shot it at the cop and the cop shot back with a gun.
I'm not saying the cop is completely innocent but this isn't nearly the same as the Floyd death
also I think the story says that the cop will be on administrative leave until the murder charges he's facing are resolved

I'm talking about a technicality on the department's firing procedure allowing him to get his job back.

it's sort of wild to end a human life at work in a situation where it wasn't required...and then you want that job again.

The Wendy's cop should have waited until he was dead before he shot the guy, and just ignored getting tackled, hit, his taser taken and shot at him.
And after he was dead should have only shot him in the ankle.

We don't need to worry about social security as the people that actually work will have to until death to pay for the education, health, UBI, and whatever other stuff people want for free today.Well, in this case it is not God, but okay.the "big words" thing is always funny. i was brought into this discussion for some reason. shame on me for replying.

nope. i'm not up and arms here. it's a situation where the shooting is understandable. but seeing the video, i think there were other options. but if you shoot a taser at a cop i got nothin' for ya. sorry you made a terrible choice.

The Atlanta thing is still an example of bad faith policing in my opinion. They went from a sleeping man to a use of deadly force after spending half an hour on field sobriety tests. I'm not saying the cop wasn't necessarily justified in the moment, but there was a lot of bad policing in the 30 minutes that lead up to that moment.

Or don't drink and drive, resist arrest, then steal an officer's weapon.
