From the standpoint of an active war with Iran, I'm absolutely terrified by Scott Walker.

Is Walker actually a zealot, or is he just pretending to be one for the Republican Primary?
I'm not interested in finding out which is true.

yeah, that's great. we need hillbillies with giant guns running vigilante security wherever possible. if only elementary schools would come to their senses and finally allow this.

American s***....agreed.

So is the tuba player part of the march, or is he a hipster playing Wagner ironically? If it's the latter, that is awesome.

From what I read this particular duo are Iraq War vets (notice the guy sitting on the right has a prosthetic leg).

Obama just ordered the flags to be flown at half-staff through July 25th, to honor the Chattanooga victims.

I'd laugh if after the Donald leaves the race, he endorses Hillary or something.

Back when Trump was a Democrat. What wife was he on back then?

Flip flopper, philanderer... and no one has yet mentioned that he's declared bankruptcy multiple times. Seems like a swell guy to have running the country.

Trump has never declared personal bankruptcy; he has, however, bankrupted four casino hotel/resorts, the first of which actually cost him personally something on the order of half a billion in his personal assets.

Thanks for the clarification, tifosi. It's still a valid issue to bring up to those who argue that a businessman should be running the country, IMO.

I'm wondering how much this presidential bid will cost him in personal assets.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. Oddly, with all of the brazen stuff he has said, the McCain thing was the first that was an "eek" moment, although McCain's war record has been challenged before, especially during the 2008 campaign.
Nothing will surpass 2000. If I were McCain I would punch a Rove/GWB on principle if I saw them in the streets.
I was actually prepared to volunteer for the McCain campaign in 2000, but the wheels sort of fell off prior to Super Tuesday (and the CA primary). He was actually challenging the religious right, and spoke critically of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, which is something that I greatly admired.

In other news, there are only two GOP candidates with prior military experience - Perry and Graham. Neither of which are presently in a position to be on the Ohio debate stage with Mr Trump.

Aside from the stupid page name, I see nothing wrong with this. It's legal, and they are trained with those weapons. It's not billy joe out there scratching behind his ears with daddy's shotgun.

I have a hard time with the idea of plain clothes civilians walking around with automatic rifles.

Lol, the marines don't even use automatic rifles, and that wouldn't be legal for anyone.

this particular billie joe, sitting in his lawn chair at the strip mall, is properly trained. you are correct. and i have no reason to think he is going to do something bad with his weapon. but him being trained isn't evidence to support that. aren't many people who use their guns for murder instead of recreation also trained? certainly most of the mass shooters at least.

anyways, me thinking that this sort of thing is going to lead to a violent incident would be as ridiculous as billie joe thinking that his gun will some day make a difference at home, in a strip mall or wherever else. that's not the point. the point is that i don't want to walk around and cart my kids past a bunch of gun carrying yokels flaunting their self defense fantasy in everyone's face. it's gross. but legal, yes.

How many gun crimes are committed with lawfully procured and legally used firearms by Bille Joe's?
