Who do I blame there? The scrub ass umpire for blowing that call or scrub ass Hurdle for burning his challenge early??
The Official 2017 Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Season Thread
The ump should play it safe (heh) and let it go to replay if need be. At least don't be a stubborn ass and ask your home plate ump for help since he had the view down the line

The more I watch the less mad am I about the call and more annoyed that this team can't put more than one run on the board against yet another scrub pitcher. No leadership on the squad from the manager down.

of course Neil Walker and Keon Broxton homered against the Pirates today

Ha. He gave up another one.
Previous career high for HR/9 was 0.72 in 2014. This season he's now over 1.5.

I think the master plan for those who wanted to acquire Walker was to put him at 2B, move Harrison to RF, and then Jaso (212/309/396/706, -0.9 WAR) and Osuna (256/298/456/754, -0.4 WAR) don't have to be a thing in the outfield.Player A 273/348/455/803 11 HR 1.5 baseball reference WAR $17.2 million

I thought Walker was more like 33 or 34 for some reason.

Hopefully, the delay has stalled the Cards' mo.

I was really pulling for Jamo to get through the fifth regardless of how many he let up as long as he held the lead. Looked like they'd just call it. Now I wish he would have taken his time and not tried to throw in that crapHopefully, the delay has stalled the Cards' mo.

TIL that one of my all-time favorite Bucs, Omar Moreno, still lives in the 'Burgh. I think it's a cool story, anyway. <3

Stan and Guy did a thing back in '06 for the 35th anniversary of 1971 where they mentioned dozens and dozens of former Pirates, Steelers, and Pens who still live here.

That's really cool to see so many former athletes stay in Pittsburgh.
Here's something weird: three people I work with were at Pirates games on three consecutive home games during the last homestand, all unbeknownst to each other. Padres, Padres, Tigers games. What are the odds?
