I decided to brave it. We were coming back from Ohio and thought we were in a hurricane. Came home to no power, and our house keys in the house. Was able to boost my wife though a window. Fun times. We were coming back from Wampum. My wife had to pull over with a bunch of other cars on the turnpike and wait it out.Ran to Home Depot after the storm was over and it looked like a bomb went off in Cranberry. Southbound 79 exit ramp covered in debris from multiple downed trees that looked like they just exploded.

Yeah, I wasn't being serious. We might get wet, but there are definitely people with far more serious issues due to these storms.I don’t know why this made me laugh. Just the thought of cities being destroyed and people dying and nan over here going “well… this going to ruin my trip to watch football.” had me laughing. This is going to rain out my Pitt vs Tennesee trip.

At this point, it's a bit of a crapshoot as to where the heaviest rain will set up with Ida. The latest model trends are good for Western PA, not so good for Southeast PA.

WU went from predicting 2.3" to 3.4" for Wednesday, from yesterday to today.

Today's the day to check your personal flooding situation. Still a little up in the air where the heaviest rain will be but it's coming.
Will be worse the further south and east you go.

Isolated higher amounts likely too.
Yes, the weather behind this storm will be perfect for Labor Day weekend. Finally say goodbye to the humidity for a while

Raining pretty good in the city. You trying to tell me it's going to do this for the next two days?

I expect a lull between 3-6pm and then it's going to turn back on and stay on until Thursday morning.

One thing with remnant lows from tropical systems. If you are *above* the storm (north and west), you are generally going to be on the heavy rain side of things, but less risk of severe weather. If you are on the south/east side, total precip is *usually* lower, but severe risk is greatly elevated.
With the shift to the NW of the heaviest precip totals, tomorrow is suddenly looking like a potentially very nasty severe weather day down this way.
Ignore the actual number...10% is extremely rare for tornado risk issuances, and that means it's going to get very dicey down here. Would almost rather take my chances with the flooding.

To expand on my previous post...
Prior to the major tornado outbreak we suffered out this way at the end of July, the SPC had us in the 5% section.
Compared with tomorrow. I am definitely concerned. With how saturated the ground is, plus all the heavy rain, plus the wind, I am envisioning lots of power outages and trees down when the storms hit.
