It was neither hot nor humid once the storm passed. 58° both nights and a nice breeze blew through the window. I also prefer the silence and darkness over noise, lol.

We have a Rutters almost exactly 1 mile away from my place of work with a nice sidewalk that links straight to it. Man what a gorgeous day for a walk after those couple weeks of heat. Was a great lunch break.

What a storm. Entire trees uprooted or split in half all over the north hills.
we drove down sample rd around 6pm after everything cleared up and the size of the trees at wildwood country club that were uprooted was amazing to me

My brother lives in the middle of a large brood of cicadas. He said the same. It's deafening at times.

I 'member them days. We lived in MD the last time they came up (can't believe it's been 17 years - **** I'm old) and the swarms were crazy. Constant buzzing everywhere you went and if you shook a small tree they'd fly off like a plague swarm.

Made for some great fishing though. We'd pluck 'em off of plants and use them as an endless supply of bait.

Beautiful crisp, cool morning in happy valley.

Oh, and no cicadas here. Haven’t seen or heard a single one. We must be juuuuuuust outside the area where they’re poppin up.
