What a storm. Entire trees uprooted or split in half all over the north hills.

Yeah we drove around Greenfield and had to reroute, turn around a few times to avoid downed trees & power lines.

Also the Macy’s at Ross Park had a bad time.

Lost power for about 45 minutes in Ross. No trees down from what I can see. I live in a valley that climbs up the side of a hill (I think "hollow" might be the appropriate term), so I think I'm often spared the worst of the winds from storms like this.

We're in Glenshaw right off of Thompson Run. No power for about 2 hours, but came back on around 8 or so. We have a couple branches down but nothing major. Had some hail, and listened to a solid hour of sirens after it let up.

I love me some thunderboomers, but that was a bit much.

Still without power. Only candles we have are from Bath & Body. Lots of smells going on in here.

That sucks. I can't even walk into a Yankee candle store. Too strong.

Still no power when I woke up this morning and it didn't look like it was coming back soon. An entire tree is still laying across the road, about 6 houses down from us.

Luckily I charged it to 100% around lunch time yesterday and I didn't use it much in the hours before the storm because we were visiting my parents. It was at 75% when we got home to find out we had no power, so I turned all the settings down and didn't use it. My wife took the little guy to her parents since they still had power and I secured the homefront. Read a book on the front porch until the sun went down.

Man that sucks, Kane. Our power kicked back on around 11:30 last night. That's always a jarring experience. Nice and quiet sitting by the candlelight then suddenly every light in the house is on, every appliance is beeping at you, and somebody's alarm system is going off.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to cleaning out the fridge. I will probably have to go grocery shopping this afternoon as I plan to cut out of work early.

I saw that Duquesne Light is estimating that power will be restored to all by 11:30 pm tonight. That's nuts.

As I submitted that post, I just heard some thunder and looks like another storm is rolling in. That will probably halt their work...

As someone that sleeps with white noise, that's why my phone is nearly always on a charger. The thought of sleeping in a hot house on a humid night with no breeze is bad enough. Without some kind of background noise, I would be up all night.
