This weekend looks spectacular though. Going down to DC for the 4th.
You think? Cmon man. I want 90s all weekend. It's gonna be low 70s and likely off and on rain Friday to Monday
90s? Are you insane?

I'll take low 70s and rain any day.
It's FOJ weekend. Memorial day weekend was already ruined.

My manager is out golfing this afternoon with a potential collaborator.... dude hasn't golfed in 3 years and it's the hottest day of the year. He's not gonna have a good time.

On the bright side, I'll get to watch the Germany-England game.

Ouch. Golfing on a hot day is especially bad when it takes a lot more walking and a lot more strokes to finish a round.

We had one hell of a line of storms move through last night around 9:30-10:00. My kid's inflatable pool few into the neighbor's yard.

I'm looking forward to the heat breaking. And if it rains all weekend, so be it. Less fireworks.

My flower gardens have been loving the past couple days. Rain, thunderstorms, things have literally grown inches overnight. It's awesome.

That's wild. I guess all those future-apocalyptic storms you see in movies/tv were actually born out of realism after all.

Deaths surge in U.S. and Canada from worst heatwave on record
A heatwave that smashed all-time high temperature records in western Canada and the U.S. Northwest has left a rising death toll in its wake as officials brace for more sizzling weather and the threat of wildfires.

The worst of the heat had passed by Wednesday, but the state of Oregon reported 63 deaths linked to the heatwave. Multnomah County, which includes Portland, reported 45 of those deaths since Friday, with the county Medical Examiner citing hyperthermia as the preliminary cause.

By comparison all of Oregon had only 12 deaths from hyperthermia from 2017 to 2019, the statement said. Across the state, hospitals reported a surge of hundreds of visits in recent days due to heat-related illness, the Oregon Health Authority said.

In British Columbia, at least 486 sudden deaths were reported over five days, nearly three times the usual number that would occur in the province over that period, the B.C. Coroners Service said Wednesday.

I am totally fine with 70s and rainy conditions all weekend. Like c2i said, less fireworks and less A/C cranking.
