That's weird. I googled that exact map this morning and was going to post it here. Mainly because everyone says '17 year' but they seem to be around every year and that's been bugging me.

That's very interesting how Brood II runs along just east of the I-81 corridor but is split by MD, where Brood X has a narrow run to the southeast and covers the entire Delmarva. We live on the far eastern edge of Lancaster County, which would explain why we haven't seen much of Brood X out this way (the lack of trees helps too).

On another note, this weather is **chef's kiss**. 72 degrees, no humidity, nice breeze, and wall to wall sunshine.

Took my mile walk to and from Rutters again for lunch. Cannot ask for better. Absolutely stunning out there right now.

Do I read correctly that Washington County, the WV northern panhandle and some of Ohio get 2 broods? Keep those away from here.

I had a meeting from 12 to 5 today, so I took the 9 o'clock hour off and spread some fertilizer, cleaned the chicken coop, and did some trimming. The Temps have been just nothing short of phenomenal

I haven't heard or seen any cicadas around here. I'm hoping out elevation saved us.

Yes, it is awesome. However my pressure washer stopped working out of no where and now warranty replacement is 7 days out, womp womp.

I did get the worst side done so I guess I accomplished something. Did some other things I wasn't sure if I would get too so not a waste of beautiful weather.

“Honey, I thought you were going to be power washing today… why are you just sitting there with a beer?”

“Power washer broke… parts are a week out.”

Man...just indescribably beautiful outside. If I wanted to nitpick, I wouldn't mind if the breeze was just a HAIR less strong, but that's being silly. It is gorgeous.

Yeah, it's nice.

I have two golf tournaments this weekend. Thunderstorms are rolling in on Friday night and staying until Tuesday.

Hey look, it's the other shoe dropping.

There was a nado warning up near Cranberry earlier. I think this is the same line of storms that moved through Chicago last night.

Yup...this is the major cold front that is going to flush out all of this heat and humidity. Really nasty squall line with that front.

Just went through. A whole lotta lightning and thunder for about 30 minutes. Temperature dropped something like 15 degrees.

Pretty impressive cool air mass. Heat index was over 100 yesterday, and today I was sitting outside and put a hoodie on because of the cool breeze.
