Steelers open as 7.5 point favorites against Jacksonville. What could possibly go wrong?

Artie Burns hurt in practice today. That's not good, I thought he was good when playing opposite Haden.

Blake Bortles is atrocious, so its not an enormous loss for this week. Were they to win, however, and face NE in the next round and be without him...yikes.

Rapoport saying there's no ligament damage. If he can't go Sutton would replace him in the lineup, which should be fine for Bortles. Need him for the Patriots though.

The Steelers are a much better team than they were in week 5. The offense found its groove, the defense, shored up, and they only lost one game following that poop-fest vs JAX - and that was on a goofy play as they clock died.

Are the Jaguars any better now than two months ago? They backed into the playoffs with two straight losses, and were anemic against the Bills. And Blake Bortles is still their quarterback.

In recent years, JAX has presented a goofy matchup problem to PIT. But as a fan, I'm just not all that worried about this weekend's game. Hopefully the coaches and players do not share my casualness here, cos that's how you lose a trap game. But the Steelers should win this game easily.

I think it's a completely different offense. Between Roethlisberger and Bell starting slow, the Bryant drama and Schuster's development, i'd say they should handle the Jags.

I would imagine the offensive line renaissance is influencing his decision.

Artie Burns back at practice today. Tuitt was reported to be in a sling yesterday but was sling-less today. No word yet on his practice availability.

According to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler, Bell said Thursday he "would definitely consider" sitting out the 2018 season or retiring if the Steelers use the franchise tag on him for a second straight season.

Bell added he "hopes it doesn't come to that" regarding a possible stalemate between him and the Steelers.
For ****’s sake, he couldn’t just keep his mouth shut until after the season was over?

Retiring instead of playing under a second franchise tag, brilliant.

My recollection is that sitting out gets him nowhere. He just comes back in 19 and the tag is in effect, so his options are play under the tag one more year then see who is going to pay him, or just outright retire, which I find hard to believe he would actually do
