I'm neither a dog person nor a fireworks person. But if you're on Facebook or Nextdoor dodinting about fireworks scaring your dog (or waking your children), then said dog (or kids) better have never made any noise where another person could hear it.
Yeah sorry ordinarily my dog would be **** fast asleep at 1 am when the M80 went off down the street last night.

People who leave their dogs outside to bark all day or let their kids scream for hours at a time are asshats. I'd never say otherwise.
People who shoot off fireworks on any day other than July 4 are asshats. And if they are doing it virtually every day from Memorial Day to July 4th at all hours of the day, I hope they blow their hands off. Also, fwiw, setting off fireworks within 150 feet of an occupied building) is illegal in Pennsylvania.
People who have a dog which barked a couple times or kids who yelled a couple times are normal human being and entirely unworthy of scorn.

I'm glad I don't live in the sticks. People set fireworks off here and it's not so bad.
My sister and her friends (who live in Butler County) not only were setting off monster fireworks last week, but they also blew up 15 pounds of tannerite.

Had one when we were exiled to our lower office, stupid hot and humid and had a fly problem. They did not work on the flies as advertised.

My sister and I had guinea pigs for a period of time as kids. My guinea pig's name was Rainbow...I got very attached to that silly thing.

I think today is going to be the day we have to put my wife's old cat down. The cat has been living with her mom for the past couple of years but she was my wife's cat for almost a decade.
The last week or so my MIL said she hasn't eaten much of anything and isn't using the litter box. I was over there on Sunday to cut the grass and it looks like she has lost a ton of weight. We are going to take her to the vet today, but we don't expect good news.
I have to go pick her up this afternoon to bring her back here so my wife can drive her to the vet to what we are assuming is to say her goodbyes.
