I always tell shops to tighten mine to spec so I don't get stuck with a flat I can't take off.
I only used the impact wrench to take the nuts off. I put them back on by hand and used my torque wrench to tighten to spec.

You should, at the very least, start them on by hand too, to reduce the likelihood of cross threading

Unless you can set the torque on your impact gun, and trust it, I always tighten by hand, and definitely always start it by hand. An impact gun is overkill for tightening, IMO.

Also, my TPMS sensors are 14 years old now and still working just fine, FWIW.

I think an impact driver will be my next tool purchase. I always do my own brakes, so it'd be worth it tome. Last thing I bought for the garage was a caliper tool kit.

Picked up a corded impact driver and an impact adapter for the scissors jack I use for my car. Cut the time it takes me to swap my wheels and tires by probably 2/3. Why the eff didn't I buy these years ago.
I'm delaying putting summers on bc I'm waiting for a compressor to go down in price. Will probably just pay the piper, as it's getting too late to have winters on.

Regarding torques and such, another thing I typically do is lather some anti-seize on the threads of the bolts.

How big of a compressor are you looking at? This is what I have, and outside of replacing one part after 8+ years of use, it has worked very well for my purposes:

I have my eyes set on this one https://www.harborfreight.com/10-gallon ... 57328.html

I bought a smaller sized one for work and did some extensive testing with it. It was in an oven up to 125F and subsequently put in a freezer at -40F. Still works like a boss.

Do you use yours with impact tools? Seems like it may be too small for that.

Yep, I use it with my impact wrench when swapping my wheels. It does run the compressor 1-2 times after initially turning it on and getting the tank ready, but that’s not a big deal at all for me.

Was getting tired of weaker low-end sounds in my Jeep Wrangler, and decided to buy an under the seat sub on amazon. Kind of excited to install it because I need to hear some bass when I'm ripping bluegrass music down the highway with no doors or top on.

Does your jeep have the 8.4 uconnect in it? I want to do this with my ram but I don't know how to go about wiring it into the stock system

My jeep is a 2012 and has a $100 head unit in it lol. I won't touch my Ram's system because of the computer/u connect.

My wife's car indeed need a new battery. I ended up pulling the battery and taking to O'Reilly's to charge and test, and they found a bad cell. So I bought a new battery, and was checking out videos about reinstalling a new battery. I assumed it was positive, then ground, and you're good to go (I was correct).

BUT, I watched this scary video where you aren't supposed to swap a battery without some sort of battery backup and how you lose computer settings and so on. Fortunately, none of that happened. Just had to reset the clock, no radio code, and it even kept all of the Bluetooth devices saved. No issues with rough idle or anything like that.

Fwiw I felt like the prices for batteries at Sam's club were great. I haven't had to replace one yet but if I do I'll look there first.

Does anyone use one of those foam cannon guns to wash their cars? Are they really worth it? Cover in foam and pressure wash off or still need to hit them with a sponge?

I have a Chemical Guys system that worked really well. If you're in to washing your own car, I'd recommend one. I stopped doing it myself long ago, personally.

Paying for car washes is one of those things I can't justify at this point in my life. Thanks for the tip, I'll check out their system.

I stand corrected, I have this unit:

I have some Chemical Guys cleaners, though. At any rate, I know a few others who use their foam cannons and love them.

Found one for 20 bucks that goes on the end of a pressure washer wand. I think I'm gonna give it a try.

Two things:

1. I'm not a car guy, but I saw a 2021 VW Jetta pass me on the highway, and that's a slick lookin car. Aesthetically very pleasing with the black top and the chrome outlines around the exhaust areas.

2. My place of work is about 5 miles from my house... I'm considering a moped/scooter for next summer or the summer after. Currently I have to take my daughter to and from daycare every day, but that wont' always be the case. I don't want a motorcycle because I don't really want to have to get a MC license. I understand if the moped/scooter is small enough I don't need a special license? Anyone have a suggestion on brand/style/what to look for?

What you need is a Messerschmitt.
