My wife's jeep cherokee has absolutely nothing wrong with it, but a dealer offered me 15k for it and I'm so tempted to let it go. It just sucks that everything I want to replace it with is 40k plus. Though I know if we have a second kid in the next year or two she's going to have an itch for third row. 2 years ago the same dealer offered 11k for the same jeep. I have my eye on a Traverse, Pilot, or Explorer...
You need a third row for two kids?

Third row is nice because then you can get in the back if one is fussy or other people can travel with you instead of always needing to take 2 vehicles somewhere.

You don't NEED a third row for two kids but it's super convenient.

Yeah, it's Factorials schtick, question the necessity of every luxury someone may like to have.

Give them a bench seat and you can fit 4 or more of them.

Growing up, the 3rd row is where I slept on long trips, because I could stretch out without bumping my brother.

A bench seat wouldn't help that.

Nobody in their right mind would ever choose bench seating over bucket seats. This isn't 1970.

Another thing about third row is its useless with 2 car seats unless the second row is captains chairs...

The first minivan that we had was a used Windstar that had bench seating and that was from the 90's. You don't need to go back to the 70's.

Source of the post Surprisingly this means that for once in my life I purchased something at the right time.
I tried so hard to justify the new turbo Type-S, but just cannot do it. My TL is probably going to be the final brand new car I buy - perhaps even the final car I buy, given that it's still super low mileage, and I never drive anymore.
Hadn't looked since I bought the Mazda, has this hit the streets yet?

This one is going to my son when he's able to take a car to college, so given my wife wants to drive her Flex into the ground, the next one might be my last one unless I take a job in the city at some point.

Due to be released in a few weeks. I'm not even going to visit a showroom so that I don't get the itch to reverse course.

My wife's car is coming off lease next month. Our contract has a purchase option for $25k. KBB trade in value right now is $31k. Talk about timing.

I want to sell the M6 and buy an RV. But I'm a bit terrified that I won't be able to find a car to drive for One Lap next year. All the Vipers moved up-market on me already. Not really sure there is anything else I want that would work.

I was looking for a second-gen GTS. They were available in the $40ks but about this time last year they all migrated up to $55k+.

We're looking at importing a TVR Cerbera instead, now.

Now that I have my mortgage paid off, I've been mulling a second car. I like the Mazda Miata RF, and I was thinking that I'll wait until they're getting under 15,0000 and then maybe pick up one. But even cars that are getting close to five years old are still more than $25,000. It's nuts.

Have probably said previously that Mrs. F loves her Flex, which is an '18 with 55k and plenty of life left in it. You will pry the keys out of her cold dead hand when it's time to trade it in.

Saw something called a Kia Carnival (which IMO is an awful name for a vehicle) the other day and first thought was- that's the closest thing I've seen to a Flex (actually it really looks more like an Explorer). Mentioned to wifey who liked it initially then nixed because- the rear doors are sliding and that means it's a minivan. She has vowed to never drive another minivan. The other deal breaker is no AWD but in the future who knows.

I kind of irrationally hate myself for liking this vehicle but... wow it has recliners in the second row.

In Korea, the new Carnival will be sold with a handful of engines. These include a 2.2-liter Smartsteam diesel with 199 hp and 324 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque, a 3.5-liter MPi petrol engine with 268 hp and 245 lb-ft (332 Nm), and a 3.5-liter GDi V6 rated at 290 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm). All engines are paired as standard with eight-speed automatic transmissions. Kia has yet to state what engines will be offered in North America.
