Just looked up my '11 Elantra's value for shits and giggles. $5,300 top end for good condition. Not bad for 1o years old and 103,00 miles.

That's a super hot vehicle this year and the reviews are really good.I just don't see the Telluride appeal. I think they look nice, but when I sat in one, I knew I wasn't paying what they were asking for a KIA.

I'm just not paying anything over $35K for a f*ckin KIA. It just blows my mind. To each their own, but man that's sticker shock.

A year or two ago I thought it would be crazy to pay $35K for a new 4 door Wrangler. With the way prices are now, that sounds like a damned bargain.

I paid $35k for my TL-S brand new, literally right off the truck/trailer, back in 2007.

That's the rub I guess. Because when you start talking $40k if not brand new truck, I'm in the medium luxury class, not KIA. Who knows, prices seem out of whack like housing, I would imagine this won't be this way forever.I paid $35k for my TL-S brand new, literally right off the truck/trailer, back in 2007.

That's my issue with the new Acura Type-S. It's so expensive that most are going to simply look at the better Audi and BMW offerings. I thought about just waiting a year to see what prices are like for a CPO, but no **** way now. That's the rub I guess. Beautiful car, great warranty, still a Kia. (IB4 Shyster)

A Pilot elite model is mid 40s. Would rather have that than a Kia.

I actually reserved a Bronco recently. Only 11M ahead of me.

See now if you're telling me it's between Honda and Kia. I choose a Honda 10/10 and it really isn't even close.A Pilot elite model is mid 40s. Would rather have that than a Kia.
I would pay $35K for a CRV we came damn close, and chose a CX-5. If I could do it all over? I'd choose the Honda and not even blink, I do not care for my wife's CX-5.

My wife keeps talking about buying a new SUV, but she put 1800 miles on her 03 CR-V last year, and maybe double that the year before. Still has under 92k miles on it, and maintaining it is inexpensive. Thankfully, she doesn’t like the look of the newer CR-V, so she’s not terribly serious.

Knowing what I know now, I just wouldn't consider anything other than a Honda in that CR-V size spot.
If I had to get a Pilot, I may look elsewhere, but that'd probably win out too, for me.

Without looking, I assume the Pilot is close to $50k now. It’s very nice, but also fairly large.

I've had no issues with my Traverse. Had it for 5+ years and put about 70k on it. Just over 110k total.

I also heard there’s an eight month wait for a new Chevy Blazer. For real? I’d wait that long for a restomodded K-5 Blazer, not the plasticky **** 2021 edition.

I noticed in a web ad (from a dealership in Indiana, not good ad targeting tbh) a Ford Ranger XLT for $39,995…
That seems outrageous to me.

Seems like it's a great time to sell your vehicles and homes if you don't need a vehicle or home yourself

At one point in time brands like Honda and Toyota were considered cheap foreign junk. They certainly aren't any more. I'm admittedly biased on this point because I've owned cars from both brands, but Hyundai and Kia are fully competitive with any other brand on the market, and I'd much rather have a Kia than any Ford or Chevy. My Forte is six years old and has needed zero repairs of anything. Nothing, nada, zip. Other than oil changes and new wipers, the only other upkeep has been new front brakes at 45,000 miles.I'm just not paying anything over $35K for a f*ckin KIA. It just blows my mind. Wanted to do an electric small SUV for me wife, but having spun out in the snow one two many times she refuses anything but AWD, and it needs 250 mile range to make sense.
All that moves it way too high in the price bracket.

I feel like Hondas don't have the crazy fancy styling that other manufacturers have. But if I was going third row SUV right now it'd be hard to not go with a Pilot.See now if you're telling me it's between Honda and Kia. This is a good thing most of the time, IMO. But I'm also a Honda/Acura guy, so I'm partially biased.Source of the post I feel like Hondas don't have the crazy fancy styling that other manufacturers have.

I don't get why anyone is buying a family hauler that is over 30K.
