Who wants a BBS-wheels inspired watch? Only $3,000.

They did a Fuchs version last year, too:

That BBS watch is really growing on me, although I don't think it has grown enough for me to spend $3,000. The only thing I don't like is that the Union Glashütte logo appears to be on the crystal. I would have made it smaller and put it on the top of the dial.

Random trivia: the town of Glashütte is the German equivalent of the "Watch Valley" in Switzerland, and most of the major German watch companies (e.g., A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original, NOMOS, Tutima, Union Glashütte, Moritz Grossmann) are located there.

I don't like how the date is displayed. I get why it looks like that but it makes it feel like an after thought.

I agree and think it might be better without a date. The whole impression is, IMO, quite dressy, notwithstanding the fact that it's based on a wheel design. Dates aren't necessarily needed on a dress watch.

"What if we made a pickup out of a Corolla?", said someone.

Still looks light years better than the Cybertruck.

Car started rattling in the rear end on my way home today. Thought for sure it was going to be a shock or strut issue, since they've never been replaced on the rear. Took off the wheel and saw that one of the caliper bolts was missing - easiest fix ever, lol. It must have rattled loose and fell out somewhere on 79.

Rattled loose? As somebody who has had their fair share of battles with those bolts, that sounds more like whoever last worked on it didn’t actually torque it down.
