McDonald's is only good after drinking. Otherwise, meh city.

I much prefer the food at Wendy's. I don't prefer their prices, however.

BK, I love the whopper, but hate their fries. I do like onion rings though, so I typically go for that.

Taco Bell is hit or miss, both in taste, and in the chances of being stricken with Taco anus.
Wendy's is the best.

I liked BK's old fries.

I am also a Whopper and onion rings kind of guy.

For me, it goes:

In-N-Out (Double Double w cheese animal style)

BK (Whopper)
Carl's Jr (Single Star w cheese)
Pretty much every other place

The biggest problem with 5 Guys is the cost.

Jack openly advertises their product as stoner food. So at least they know their customers.

See, I consider only the low-low-end stuff fast food: McD, BK, Wendy's, etc. stuff like Panera, Chipotle, Five Guys, etc. is like just generic diarrhea food...I don't even have a label for it...there's gotta be a tier between McDonald's and like Applebee's...it's that stuff, Subway, Quiznos, whatever...I don't know what to call it...

Naturally, tif had an answer and beat me to this post...#pacifictimeadvantage

Agreed. Wendy's old fries were my favorite, too, but I'm not too thrilled with the newish ones. As for Taco Bell, I haven't had it in probably a decade now, if not longer.

I had In and Out when I was out west and it was fantastic, but a place I'd never heard of, "Tommy's", which I had in Barstow, was in some ways even better.

I'm not saying InO isn't the best, at least in some peoples eyes. My point is that any gap from InO to #2 is paper thin, it's good enough, but not remarkable.

My number 1 is Hardee's/Carl's Jr. But I'm not going even try to say they're so innovative or that the quality is over the top. The highest quality fast food burger I can get is Culver's, but I'd take a Hardees sandwich over it any day of the week given the choice.

I am old enough to remember the glory of McD's fries that were cooked in beef tallow.

The thing I miss the most about LA.

I don't eat soy, canola, peanut, rice bran or most other cooking oils so the only french fries I could have were here.

You know what's really good? The SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito. Again, probably the only non-beverage or dessert item worth eating at Sonic.

Also, should hot dogs be on a fast food restaurant menu?

Everyone in this thread should be embarrassed of themselves.

Fast food is disgusting. In N Out is the only somewhat decent fast food option.

The rest is "food" made in a lab

Has anyone tried that pork belly sandwich at Arby's?
I have. It wasn't bad, but I was turned off by the odd combination of both mayonnaise and barbecue sauce as toppings. That combination doesn't work, IMO, and if I were to ever order another one, I'd tell them to leave off the mayo.

I had my first CookOut experience in Virginia Beach on our way to the Outer Banks. That was interesting.
