haha I think we all agree with each other, just differently. Completely removing luck from the equation, Ty Cobb should have been the guy to get the streak, right? Joe Dimaggio was a legend, and the fact that HE was the one to achieve such an incredible streak only reinforces the significance of it. The fact that current streaks die in their 20s (and they are talked about greatly) shows just how unreachable it probably is.So, as Craig said, he wasn't unlucky.
