How taxes work for sports gambling. This could be an absolute disaster for people.

One reason I don't gamble much is because when you bet $100 to win $190, you're taxed on $190. Not the net amount. It's horse ****.

It's **** nonsense and I guarantee the vast majority of gamblers don't know the tax laws. Not only are you taxed on the gross amount, you're taxed on your gross winnings regardless of losses. $500 in the hole for the year after winning $10,000 against $10,500 in losses? Getting taxed on $10k and can only claim losses for itemized deductions. Some states (Ohio for one) don't even allow itemized deduction of losses for state taxes.

Yeah… trademarks tend to be limited (or are completely limited to? I’m not an IP lawyer) to the areas or industry where the company applies them.

Barbie Pink and I think Tiffany Blue are also trademarked iirc. I'm sure there are others.

Gaza is only 45 miles from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I always assumed it was much farther away. That’s like the same distance as blairsville from Pittsburgh. It would be very strange knowing that a 2 million people 45 miles away want to kill me

IIRC, Israel is around the same size as New Jersey. It's like Trenton launching missiles at Newark.
