Yeah, we walked through the upstairs and it looks decent. Might dip in there for some skeeball.

Is there any good lumpia around here?

In Westmoreland County?

The only places in Pittsburgh where I’ve seen lumpia on the menu were Kaya and Noodlehead and neither were comparable to what I’ve had from Filipino friends/neighbors.

The last two places I've worked have had a Filipino person I worked closely with. Both would give me a pan a couple of times a year. I saw that it was F-Am history month and I'm suddenly craving it.

Not necessarily Westmoreland, just in general. I assumed not but thought it was worth taking a look.

My neighbor is Filipino, and his mom's Lumpia is amazing. I think all Filipino mom's make it well.

Will be in Denver for 3 days. I'd like to get some nice meal after spending the whole days in the interview room. Any recommendations for good DOWNTOWN restaurants (preferably NOT the high-end chains like Capital Grille, Palm, Fogo de Chao... - those are my "if I can't find anything more interesting" places)? Thanks!!

Smoke some of that legal weed and you'll be happy with Cheetos and Mountain Dew from the local 7-11.

And try the Rocky Mountain oysters while you're there.

It may not be downtown proper, but Yak and Yeti is a great Indian place -- they also brew their own beers with Spice Trade brewing, and as the name suggests, some of it is pretty unique stuff that complements the food quite well.

There's also a Pens friendly bar downtown. I believe it's called Society. They usually have the "Jagr Lagr" on tap.

That's also the name of a delicious Disney Animal Kingdom restaurant.

Last time I was in Denver we ate at Guard and Grace, nice steaks but on the pricey side.

So based on my 3 days in Denver:

Major thumbs up: Buckhorn Exchange: The oldest steakhouse in Denver, close to downtown (something like $9 with Uber, 10 minute drive): https://www.buckhorn.com/ Awesome steaks (and Rocky Mountain Oysters). Great drinks, too. I could probably live with 1/4 of the stuffed and/or mounted animals, but the food was awesome, wait staff attentive, so if ZOO is their thing, I can go with that...

Thumbs down: Toro (https://www.torodenver.com/ ). I love modern Mexican/Latin - but this one was vastly overpriced and not that great.

My buddy is the rep for Maestro Dobel tequila (among other brands) in Denver. He will not be pleased to hear this  I am fairly certain I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in Denver area over the past two visits, simply because he expenses it all.

Not bougee enough. You can't get away with selling a $30 Canes sandwich with truffle aioli reduction on garlic-infused ciabatta.

Great breakfast, but it being cash only and always insane made us not go as often as we would have liked.

It hasn’t been cash only for a long time. Bummed it’s closing.
