Yeah, I was thinking maybe VW or Ohio, but they don't have any stores in either state. Which is a pity, because I think I've heard good things about Total Wine.

Before I quit, Total Wine was my favorite big box liquor store. I have 2200 loyalty points that shall go ever unredeemed.

This **** is so weird. I don’t think a single person likes the commercial but I think we all agree that the song has a horrifying catchiness to it

On the Bill Simmons guess the line podcast this week Cousin Sal had an infectiously funny bit about this godforsaken commercial

That commercial is either memed extensively on Tiktok or runs on Tiktok extensively. I hear it emanating from my kids' phones while they are Tiktok-ing. And of course throughout football games.

The Katy Perry "Skip The Dishes" ad can go away any day now. Sportsnet runs that thing non-stop during hockey games.

Little kid looks back at the Liberty Mutual spokesperson at the end of the commercial and says "bye Uncle Limu." The literal beginning of the commercial says "LIMU EMU... AND DOUG." The emu's name is Limu, or Limu Emu. The spokesperson is Doug.

Doug addresses the kid as "son" at the beginning and says "that's my boy". And when the kid says "bye uncle Limu" the emu squawks. "Uncle" is used as a term of endearment to the emu.

I’m ready did that british T-Mobile guy to be off my tv for the rest of eternity. I’m not really sure what they’re going for because nothing really comes close to approximating a joke. It’s just “guy says thing in a silly accent” which is pretty intellectually insulting

Not sure what brand it is, but whatever brand of pet food that's running radio ads that talk about "perfect poops." Like I'm scoring my cats' turds. "Hershey, I'm sorry, but that dump is only a four, while Luna crapped an eight. Try better next time."

The endless insurance ads during football season are doing my head in. I can't handle it any longer, tbh. Between the mediocracy that I "get" to watch in my chosen NFL and college teams, the endless penalties (real and imagined), and the same five **** commercials over and over again for two days over the course of 4 months, it's all too much.

Sunday NFL Ticket on YouTubeTV has a 4 game multiview option. I was watching that a week or so ago and all four games went to a commercial near the same time. The same 4-5 commercials were played in the same exact order on all four screens. There was like a 30 second difference between each station, so as one commercial ended on one screen, it began on another and so on.

It's horrendous. We watched a college game multiview thing on YTTV a couple of weekends ago. Same thing for us, in the same order. State Farm -> BK have it your way -> Verizon with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes -> USAA -> Liberty Liberty Liberty

yeah the NFL was able to get away with it when it was more entertaining but they have a major on field product issue right now. The games suck, the refs suck, too many stoppages, no teams are consistent, etc
