I love the Bowman-Busch pettiness.
Busch goes on a tirade about Bowman "lucking" into a win (he trails only Larson in victories in the last two seasons).
Bowman makes a T-shirt about it and says he'll donate 18% of the proceeds.
Busch goes and puts his 2019 Cup title t-shirts on sale for 48% off.

Get off the dirt, at least get off it with all 40 cars for a start. The heat races I heard positive things about but couldn't watch. The main event couldn't go 20 laps without a caution.

yeah there are just too many cars on the dirt at once. 20 laps was a lot. At the end they couldn't go 5 lol.

It's been 60 years since they DQ'ed a race winner. Big Bill used to have mantra that fans should always leave the track knowing who the winner was.
Normally it's just take away all the points they get from the race but you still get to keep the trophy.

They didn't have kit cars back then, either. You have to really try to violate the silhouette when you are given the body parts. **** them.

Yeah the Rock was a great racing track.

North Wilkesboro suffered from being too close to Bristol and Martinsville.

And remember during that era they tried to kill Darlington.
I am so excited about this!! I love how Dale Jr. has transitioned into an elder statesman for NASCAR.

Darlington has two races again the last few years. They really need to get NASCAR back to its roots, these small rural tracks are where the fans (still) are.

They've got a lot of work before the All-Star Race based on what I heard on the download last week.
In other news, family got see Bubba get another win at Kansas this weekend. Epic burnout, and of course shmoe's are already saying Denny let him win :eyeroll:

I do think they need to ban drivers from holding financial interest in other teams. The conflict of interest is a little too obvious. Wallace winning was better financially for Hamlin than if he would have won. That's not ideal. That said, Wallace drove a great race.

Glad you guys got to attend!

Good listen from Biffle on the decline of Roush. Dale Jr. has been putting out such good stuff. Reminds me of what McAfee has done with the NFL.

I'd love to know how many seconds behind he was when that clip started.

His lap was an 18.5 when the pole lap was 20.0. He did it in T3 so he made up 2.5 seconds in a 10 second space. Pretty wild.

Watching him fly by all the cars crawling through the middle of the corner just makes me giggle

Yup, noted black eye on the sport, Larson, is embarrassed by the most interesting thing that has happened in NASCAR since Dale died. Got it.

I felt a pang of guilt after enjoying this post given the filter in my post, so I changed it to doosh.
