Four minutes of uncensored communication between drivers, spotters, and crew. Obviously NSFW, but some golden moments in there.

if you're interested in watching tonight's NASCAR race, it looks like they're gonna start in about 10-15 minutes.

Is this the latest they have ever started? I know they've had some late starts but I feel like this has to take the prize.

It has to be. The announcers were making a big deal about Tony Stewart finishing a race at 1:40 am. I'd be surprised if they are halfway finished tonight by that time.

Two immediate takeaways from that wreck:

1) The advances in safety since Earnhardt's death in 2001 are absurd, in terms of inside the vehicle.

2) The technology in those catch fences is absolutely unbelievable. Sure, some debris got into the crowd, but that fence stopped a 3500 lb. stock car that was probably traveling at least 160-170 mph almost on a dime.

3) Which takes me back to the safety advances. Wow. Oddly enough, the worst part of that wreck was when Keselowski hit the upside-down Dillon car after the fact, because it just seemed like Dillon was in such a vulnerable position. Amazing that everyone walked away from that.

Just caught this article showing the audio between Dale Jr. and his team following the finish last night. Crazy. Especially considering Austin Dillon was driving the #3.

The ARCA race at ORP or whatever it is called now (Indy Raceway Park) was phenomenal. It seems all the good racing is at the lower levels now. Sprint Cup is basically a spec series at this point.

Watching NASCAR is like going to the dentist. Turned it on with 18 laps to go and that was a LIFETIME ago.

There is a piece of tape on the track. BETTER CALL A CAUTION.

When did they start using passanger side window glass?

getting ready to kiss the bricks and there are two different sets of hats and big Crown Royal pillows to kneel on. I hope they can cram another sponsor or two into this ceremony. :pop:

Indianapolis is brutally awful racing. What Kyle Busch is doing is insane...dude might be the top seed in the Chase after missing ELEVEN races to start the year.

Kyle Busch continues to bring it, winning the poll at Pocono. He has started 9 races....4 wins, 2 DNFs, and he is a mere 23 points out of 30th which (Relantel correct if wrong) would instantly propel him to second in the Chase seeding. A win would obviously propel him to first. What a comeback this year.

Crazy to think prior to 2013 Richmond MWR was a top team.

It as a shame one of the 30 some odd retro schemes didn't win at Darlington. But Edwards, who got beat by Regan Smith a few years back, gets his Darlington win.

Might expect most all of the teams to be some sort of retro for the next Darlington, as that was a big hit. And most of what I actually watched live was the segment with Ken Squier, Ned Jarrett and Dale Jarrett in the booth.

So, the Chase starts and Hendrick is floundering. I thought Jimmie's success was what was keeping fans away (ha ha ha), but I feel like there's zero buzz.

I feel like what they've really done is devalued this part of the season as well. The cream wills till rise to the top even with a bad week in this segment/round/whatever; they've just made the next three races as unimportant as the last 26.

NASCAR is a shell of its former self. Might as well be IROC at this point...but on a positive front it has turned me back on to local dirt track racing.

I watched an NBCSN airing of a West series race at a small 1/8 mile oval in Idaho the other week - the new DVR doesn't distinguish & records "NASCAR Racing" across all channels. I think that was more exciting than many cup races lately - I ended up watching the whole thing despite having started after midnight. Fast car early wrecked while leading - didn't see a spin in front of him. Too small to see a cup race, but short tracks used to have a big home in the Busch & Trucks series. Getting those away from Cup races would help too, but so would single car teams at that level.

Pretty bad luck for Harvick today, as Johnson pretty much wrecked him from the apron to likely end his chances already.
