Carpal tunnel syndrome.
It's becoming unbearable for me.
Chiropractic treatment or just go see an orthopedic surgeon and get cut?

Obviously, try the former first before doing the latter. Icing may help?

I'm not even sure. I have a PCP appointment in a week or so and I'm going to bring it up to her first to see what she recommends.

I did physical therapy and the electro shock therapy or whatever it's called. It helped a little but when I play guitar or bass for more than 30 minutes my right hand fingers and the insides of my left middle and ring fingers start to go numb. If I end up in any other working bands I may have to get the surgery. As it stands now by the end of a show I can't feel my right hand.

Dry needling is not authorized in PA. At least by medical professionals. My wife's PT office that she worked at in Wisconsin used to do it and she loved it.

Similar for me, only instead of numb, my wrist just locks up entirely. My car accident from when I was young basically **** my love of playing guitar.

It's both of my hands. It's usually every morning. In the past it'd go away after 20 minutes or so but now it's like dang near lunch time til I can find relief. It's probably from holding a phone so much.

PA needs to get with the times. 7 years ago I was having brutal tendonitis in my elbow. I was going to PT twice a week for about 2 months. it was getting better but extremely slowly. one week I show up for PT and my regular therapist wasn't there. the sub PT happened to be certified in Dry Needling and asked if I wanted to try it. I was willing to try anything short of surgery at that point. she stuck the tiny little needles in, I felt the tendon release and 15 minutes later walked out pain-free and haven't had the issue since. :fist:

Yeah, she really likes it a lot. Glad it worked so well for you.

I talked to her about it last night and she said a few PTs in PA are doing it 'under the table' in cash-only services. She reminded me that mac could drive to WV or OH and get it done through insurance.

Because, you know, we all love going to WV for medical treatment. ;)

“Concierge” doctors. My work set us up with a free visit to one of these. Basically a doctor who sits with you as long as you want, never makes you wait, has same-day sick visits available and will take your calls 24/7. And also acts like he gives a sht.

…if you pay extra. Seems worth it to me though. Health systems are all the way down the shitter at this point.

Yeah, I've had two of my doctors do that. I might go to the doctor 1-2 times a year, so it didn't make sense to stay with them. I've had older friends that swear by that type of practice.

How long does it take dilated pupils to return back to normal?

Asking for a friend whose pupils have been dilated for the past FOUR **** HOURS
