This new special will be about downtown. Self loathing yinzers such as troy loney should not watch.

Love me some Sebak but what could there possibly be within 100 miles of Pittsburgh that he hasn't covered yet?

There used to be a "hometown" sub channel that had all the local PBS shows running round the clock, I DVR'd them and burned to DVD's.

Not sure if that channel still exists, it was on Comcast and I switched to Directv a few years ago.

Yeah he was filming on Liberdy Ave around that same time too. Saw him while walking to the bus stop.

edit:

Comcast 201 used to have them on all the time. Now 201 has the old shows on very very rarely. 2 or 3 weeks ago they had 20 things I love about pittsburgh, which is one of the newest specials.

As long as there is a place to eat, rick will have something to talk about

this gentleman has two other great rick sebak csb:

last spring, this gentleman went to pamelas in millvale. while walking from the car to pamelas, this gentleman saw rick sebak walk out of jean marc's with a box of treats. for those of you that don't remember, rick went to Jean Marc's in one of his early specials. so seeing rick at one of the places he featured was a life affirming yinzer moment.

this gentleman also once had a piece of rick sebak's birthday cake. him and mrs. sebak went to the independent in squirrel hill for his birthday and for whatever reason, she brought a cake. they gave everyone at the bar a slice of cake to enjoy.

Isn't that pretty evident in his videos? He goes from six to midnight when the owner of said property tells him an interesting tidbit.

Saw Rick and his crew at Roland's one time. If you go out even occasionally in Pittsburgh you can't avoid seeing him (as a fat guy myself I don't intend that as a fat guy joke. He really is everywhere.)

It would have been more surprising if he wasn't a nerd in HS.

The comment was more to point out the observation of a "Pittsburgh dad".

Seeing, and or hearing Rick Sebak would lead one to that conclusion.

From Bethel Park? No wonder that accent sounds so familiar. :)

Pittsburgh Dad is a tool bag. Even before that video of him hating on the Pens came out.

He was standing in front of me in the concession line at Pirates Opening Day last year. I wouldn't have recognized him if not for him standing there doing the Pittsburgh Dad schtick much to the approval of some drunk, cackling yinzerettes in the adjacent line.

Rick Sebak killing it on WQED. Just himself holed up with a camera showing clips of old Pittsburgh Christmases.

A Ho Ho Ho Healthy Holidays Hodgepodge if you can catch it.

Caught some of that earlier.

There was some couple making eggnog. The woman said something about 2 relatives dying this year and that it was "a bummer". Then the husband chimed in with "more eggnog for us!"

Edit: I recorded a clip
