It still annoys me that they removed the skill development part of it

So much of the fun is building your player from a CFA level to Crosby level. I don't care if my guy sucks for a while. Hell, I wouldn't care if they kept in the presets so little kids and dodints can be a 90 or whatever, I'm fine with my 55 as long as I get to develop his stats

Be a pro is still the same. In EASHL you select from a number of predetermined class builds.

Anyone use to play Rush 2 stunt track for N64 for hours and hours? That was such a stoner game for its time.

Rocket League patch 1.03 is out. I swear I asked for this but I couldn't find it in the thread:
The first player to abandon a “Ranked’ match is now banned from matchmaking for 15 minutes
That's actually pretty harsh. What I wanted was a ban that lasted until the abandoned match ended. 15 minutes is a ban hammer. I'm okay with it though. It has already had a noticeable impact now that people have gotten used to it.

The rest of it:
NEW FEATURES

Gameplay:

“Quick Chat” commands can now be used cross-platform between PC and PS4

Content:

Topper: “Cherry Top” now includes a working, rotating light
Topper: “Propellerhead” now includes a working, rotating blade

Online Play:

AI Bot skill levels now adjust to the average skill level of all players currently in the game

The first player to abandon a “Ranked” match is now banned from matchmaking for 15 minutes

UI/ UX:

(Steam) Added “Mouse Sensitivity” setting to the “Options” menu
(Steam) Added support for more resolutions

CHANGES AND UPDATES

Training:

“Freeplay” now grants truly unlimited “Rocket Boost”

UI/ UX:

Stats: Player’s “Win/ Loss Ratio” is now displayed as a “Win %”

BUG FIXES

General:

(PS4) Sweet Tooth now properly unlocks when completing a game with all 10 of the other Battle-Cars
(PS4) Multiple visual optimizations
Reduced, but did not eliminate, instances of the “Invisible Car” bug
Fixed multiple crash scenarios

Garage Items:

Antennas
Country Flags: Congo is now appropriately-named
Country Flags: Mexico is no longer reversed
Country Flags: Northern Ireland is now correct
Country Flags: United States now shows all 50 stars

Trophies and Achievements

(Steam) “Virtuoso” Achievement is now obtainable and includes appropriate description
(PS4) “Far, Far Away” Trophy can now be unlocked via online play

UI/ UX

Stat tracking for online games is now properly reflected for their correlating Garage items
Blog and Scrolling Ticker now work as intended and will not errantly show “Offline” messages
“PsyNet” icons for cross-platform players will now display properly
Main Menu Player Avatars will no longer disappear between matches
Player names are now displayed correctly during “Replays”

Localization

French, German, Italian, and Spanish-language corrections and improvements
Good stuff, bold emphasis mine. at the country flags. I fly a Jolly Roger anyway.

Just announced that all future 360 Games with Gold titles will be backwards compatible on Xbone. I really need to get an external hard drive...

I like this a lot. X1 has a lot of catching up to do, and I hope this forces the PS team to be much better.

No, games with Gold will be backwards compatible from here on out, that doesn't mean all past games.

The 50 stars thing didn't really bother me, I mean, you can only really see it in the Garage. But "Mexico is no longer reversed" cracked me up since it is only three colors.

Right. There have generally been two AAA 360 games available each month for games with gold. That, along with the 2 Xbone games with gold means that Live subscribers now have the opportunity to get 4 games a month that will be playable on the Xbone.

There will also be a lot more BC games at launch (hundreds possibly).

what's the best Xbox One deal right now? I think I'm gonna pull the trigger soon

I'm looking at Wal-Mart which has the Xbone, two controllers with a headset and the Master Chief collection (all the previous Halo games) for $349.

I would be down to play the Halo 1 campaign again so that might hold me off until NHL 16 comes out

If you've held off this long, why not wait till Black Friday week?

I have some experience with emulators on my PC and my android devices, however a buddy of mine went to the traveling arcade games event recently and asked if we could make a Raspberry Pi into an emulator system. Turns out after a very quick search you absolutely can, and I plan on getting a Raspberry Pi 2 so I can play some retro games.

Does any one have any experience with Raspberry Pi? While I haven't played around with one personally, I do embedded software for a living so I don't see any issue with adapting to the environment, and since it seems as though a company has already built the platforms it is a simple download and go system. http://www.techradar.com/us/news/gaming ... le-1289146

I have a little experience, but mine is with OpenElec on the Pi. I'm looking to figure out how to best utilize emulators through that now (in the past I launched them from inside Windows Media Center)

You should look into Emulation Station. Its something you can get an SD card image of that should immediately boot up on the pi.

If the 1TB isn't much more, I'd find one of those. If not, add in the price of an external to your purchase. You'll need it.

That link says to use the Emulation Station, basically that link gives you an easy walk through of the whole process. How do you like the Pi? Had a classmate working with one for a design project and I've been wanting to get one to play around with as well as get into some Linux on a PC.

Seems like I should just be able to dump the Emulation Station, and the ROMs for the games I want and it basically handles the rest.

from what I'm seeing, the 1TB bundles are $50 more than the WalMart bundle but the WalMart bundle has an extra controller. I figure I can buy a 500GB usb hd for around $50 and still pay about the same.
