also, and I hate saying this because he's been so incredible, but it seems unlikely that we'll ever see MVP Ohtani again after his latest surgery
of course he'll still be an amazing player but not nearly the double threat he was the past couple years

That seems like a pretty poor financial decision on ohtani’s part, right? Deferring several hundred million over ten years is going to hurt the present value of his dollar and also potential earnings?
