I wanted to reply to a DK tweet but saw he set permission level for most of tweets so that only people he follows or mentions can reply to him. Uh..ok dude. Glad I was unblocked just to not be able to reply to his tweets, FFS.

Classic DK: Says on Twitter the Pirates are the worst offensive team he's ever watched. Lots of replies saying they are terrible overall, worst team of all time, etc. DK gets defensive and says you can't fairly judge a team because 11 pictures are injured and "that's just weird" Um..ok? He bascially said they are a terrible offensive team but not terrible overall because of 11 pictures being injured? Then he was challenging people in replies to name the injured pitchers. They are on track to be a historically bad team but I guess he will die on the hill that its not fair to say that because 11 pictures are injured.

Yeah, his Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers unfounded optimism is a bit puzzling. Well, we'll see about the Steelers...but the Pens looked lethargic heading into the COVID break...and the Pirates needed career performances from nearly every starter, good health, and smart managing to be competitive. None of that happened.

Pittsburgh Dad Jr. under fire for this (now deleted) tweet this morning with the Squirrel Hill reference:
Here is his pretty weak apology:
Wonder if he pressured by station management to do an apology? I'm not usually a "just stick to sports" kind of person, but he should really consider staying in his lane. He says the dumbest stuff on Twitter.

I hate when apologies are "if you interpreted what I said as _____, then I'm sorry." That's not an apology and it passes the blame.

Yep. Honestly I wouldn't expect any different from him.

Hoo boy. Yeah between the other thread here and my mid year work review this morning I just didn't have it in me to go all the back putting the pieces together of what this was all about. But that tweet pretty much sums up all i needed to know.

There was some sort of "undefeated in the streets" joke I was gonna make, but it's not worth the time.

He also said yesterday he "doesn't see skin color" and then today:
Madden is having a field day with this. His show today should be great.

LOL. I dont see skin color coming from the guy who called everybody and everyone a racist for thinking the Children's Hospital thing was good time to stop kissing Antonio Brown's ass. I think that's when he finally blocked me was reminding him he was the last schmuck in town still puckering up for him.

Colin Pittsburgh Dad Jr. sucks. There's nothing else there. He's just turds, and he's receiving everything he's continually asking for.

Oh can we talk about how "I don't see color" is actually a bad thing?

They should fire Pittsburgh Dad Jr.’s ass. He didn’t realize how that would sound. Bullshit. Then issues a non apology apology.

He's a jackass but I don't think that is a fireable offense IMO.

Shenderovich, Shenderovich & Fishman are pretty big sponsors on the Fan and Pittsburgh Dad Jr.'s Twitter profile pic is still him posing with the Shenderovich brothers. Wonder what they think? Dude has no common sense.

So, I mistakenly let the Athletic 90 day COVID trial turn into a year long subscription.
I was looking at Pirates articles, and it looks like Biertempfel has Sean Gentille and Stephen Nesbitt helping him out (although both do other Pittsburgh-centric sports). It also looks like they don't write a game story for each game, more like an article/column every few days summarizing what went on between articles.
Is this normal for The Athletic, or are they not covering games on the road? And I know it's the Pirates, but not sending a reporter or having them watch the game and write something up is a little strange.
